      hi hi,

my girl is p3 this year too…hmmm. this year is quite eventful for my girl’s class. Class teacher after 1 week, had to attend course for 3mths. So my girl was kind of loss…but luckily relief teacher is quite ok. but later found that there seems to be some mis-comm. betw. class teacher & relief teacher, some worksheets were not issued. so the last 2 weeks before SA1, they were doing worksheets(maths) like crazy…
Other than this, i think they are settling down, i mean teacher and students. Only complaint i have is the management of CCA, sometimes quite poorly coordinated, which left you quite frustrated. I hope they will continue to improve in this area. I did not sign my girl for any CCA this year.

Principals and teachers, so far are receptive to parents’ feedbacks and also take time to explain to parents. But don’t expect immediate response but they response unless they did not check their email.

P1&P2, teachers are still using sticker or little stationery as awards, so my girl actually always aspire to collect sticker in exchange for little gift. But not sure is it out of the teacher’s pocket.

Hope is enough for parent considering yew tee pri.

        hello all

my gal is in P2 this year…

I think YTPS is pretty ok… My gal’s been adapting very well in the school since P1. The teachers are always very responsive, at least for the past 1.5 years, my gal’s teachers read their emails and responded pretty fast. One thing worth mentioning is they do hv programme in the middle of 3rd term to allow parents to attend the classes with pupils (but just merely sitting at the back of the class to observe) to allow us to see ourselves how the teachers handle the class and how the kids mingle with their friends…

Am wondering if CCA is compulsory? Is it from P3 onwards? since they are some P3 mummies here…

hello, my boy is in P2 this year. He has the same teacher from P1. I like this arrangement as she is a caring teacher. Generally ytps is good as my child has good classmates and teachers.

They say cca is officially offered from P3 but if your child is interested in some cca from p1 , you can check with cca teacher. Now the school is offerring competitive cca, and free but they will train to participate in competitions. If you are looking for leisure purpose, the school also offers, but sometimes you have to pay and may have go to school on saturday. The catch here is that cca may help you with DSA application later.

Thanks mama_mia! Ya at every parent briefing, the school would never forget to inform us abt the DSA and try to encourage the children to take part in competitive cca.... so it's not really \"compulsory\" to start from p3? is there anyone not participating in cca at all?

which school do you have higher chance of getting in?
if not, look at their CCA range and let your kid decide which one appeals to him/her.

Badminton is one of their strength. Free training starts in P2.
