Just join the ballot as you have no other options right? If u fail the ballot, immediately put yourself on the waiting list the same day. You’re likely to be the first in the Q by virtue of your 2A status, as long as u don’t dilly dally again.
Thanks for your advice! Yeah we have no other options. Sorry I’m a newbie here... can I ask how does queue number matter for phase 2c balloting? Isn’t it ballot by distance? Do we get more chance in 2C because of 2A status?[/quote]
Does not matter for balloting. ZM was referring to waitlisting if you fail the ballot.

Have you spoken to your alumni association? Do you know the someone in there? Perhaps they will be willing to help you.

This may have been asked before…is 2015 Singaporean children borne higher than 2014?

Heard that is it higher but looking at the birth rate statistics, it is actually a bit lower…
        Thank you.

          2015
The feel-good factor of the SG50 celebrations and enhanced parental perks have delivered 600 more babies to Singapore last year.

Latest official figures show the Jubilee Year ended with at least 33,793 new babies - the highest in 13 years.

It exceeded even the 33,238 births in 2012, the auspicious Year of the Dragon for Chinese births.

          2014
A total of 33,193 babies were born in Singapore in 2014.

This is a decade high that matches the benchmark number set in 2012, the dragon year, according to the Population In Brief 2015 Singapore report.

Unfortunately, "the feel good factor and enhanced parental perks" also comes with more competition eventually when your child is due for major examinations or P1 registration, Sec 1 Posting.

I guess we will find out in less than 2 months.

I suspect Phase 1 could send a massive shockwave. Going to be exciting in less than 2 months

Thanks for sharing, floppy…yeah…true to see that indeed Phase 1 will see the initial shockwave…Very much hoping that subsequent 2A1 will not continue to explode else 2A2 chances may even disappear in some schools as seen last year…

Unfortunately, MOE is not changing anything this year so people like us (i.e. qualified for Phase 2A2) will be kicked out and have to compete in later phases…

                Thanks.

Technically speaking, although schools have sent out Broadcast messages to ask for registration details for Phase 1 registrants, the registration itself doesn’t take place until 30 Jun 2021.

ie The school admin consolidates all entries received.
After they verify/validate them, they will perform the actual registration on 30 Jun during the nation wide exercise for Phase 1.

Parents will be informed of the outcome of the registration via SMS. If you do not receive the outcome on Tuesday, 6 July 2021, you may contact the school in the afternoon to check the results.

Update to my predicament… alumni finally replied and said that they cannot accept our appeal for 2A(1) to be fair to members. So we can only hope that there will be slots for 2A(2). Also, does anyone know how do we get on waitlist if we failed the ballot for 2C? TIA~
