Definitely more checks are needed. Especially with our youths, imagine if the boy (the case where he was injected M instead of P) had a major reaction to it... a lot of parents will definitely hold off vaccination for their youths.
Thot alr SOP established fr beginning for all waiting at front desk to produce i/c before the label print-out? At least that’s what we had to do when MIL & I did our vaccination & later same for DH. He just confirmed with me he did produce his NRIC for verification.

Think the boy himself hv to bear some responsibility for his own error in input of different year of his birth. 😏
Boy being boys, kids being kids. We are not perfect beings who make no mistakes, just hope they learn better along the way.. having more checks will definitely benefit our youths.
Yes, that’s why we need to hv a broad perspective. Our healthcare system has been holding us up very well, and we shld hv girth to accord forgiveness & forbearance rather than ape the western in suing left/right/centre. We need to highlight & get things improved for all our fellow members under our airspace.

      Stay united!

I told DS before he register online to ensure he knows what he’s doing & always check. Take responsibility & do not cause others grieve for your own mistake. System are all man determined & programmes. The robot is as clever or idiot as we make it. MOH can do all they can to ensure every gap is plugged, and it’ll always need one experience of grieve to make us all the wiser rein in for room of improvement. He’s been guided to always forgive others in unexpected circumstances but to be firm if there’s malicious intention behind intent.

Also never disclose if these 2000 people with severe adverse reactions after 1st dose, had any preconditions like drug allergies etc. or are they healthy individuals.

So, I am quite surprised that those with drug allergies, cancer patients etc. are now allowed to take P and M vaccines. Hopefully not because we are rushing to hit the National vaccination target.

After I read the article from MOH website, I told my friend, if can wait then wait till end of this year as HSA is going to play safe by vigorously assessing Sinovac, which is even better! Before end of this year, it could be included under the National Vaccination program.

                      https://mothership.sg/2021/06/china-sinovac-emergency-use-children/
Sinovac is listed on Nasdaq, unlike CanSino, SinoPharm, Anhui Zhifei Longcom, and other experimental local vaccines that the mainlanders are jabbed with, which are listed on bourses in Greater China. As such, I suppose there's pressure to keep up with western rivals to retain its market share, so they have to lower the age band to seize the market in ''developing jurisdictions'' asap, before USA's 80 mil donations reach them. Singapore's among the many ''developed jurisdictions'' per MOH's statement dated 4 Jun.

Kinda worried for my HK contacts with pre-school-primary school kids.

They will be revealing their rollout plans for 12-15 yos tomorrow I think. Waiting to see if Sophia Chan's expert team also include Sinovac as a must-take for those rebellious students as well as very young ones.

Most importantly, will the HK Govt impose this as an ATB or vaccine passport criterion for their minor residents to leave the territory?

Should be mainly above 45 yo.

MOH released some vital figures on late Sat night.

They did a quick update on 652 community cases wef 28 April 2021. Among these cases, 71.9% were unvaccinated vs 18.9% vaccinated (ooh my earlier <20% guestimation's quite accurate!).

Of the 123 FULLY vaccinated(incl. 2-week-wait), 99.2% had no or mild symptoms. Only 1 required O2 support.

Among the 469 unvaccinated cases, 30 required O2 support, 6 in ICU, 3 deaths. They made up 8.3% of total cases studied.

Among the 60 cases with D1 & those D2 with < 2-week-wait, 91.7% had no or mild symptoms. 6.7% or 4 persons required O2 support and only 1 was in ICU.

In a nutshell, only 1 person or 0.8% among the vaccinated group required O2 support, while 8.3% among the unvaccinated group were cases that required O2 support, in ICU or died.
