Novavax coming to Singapore. That’s fast.

It’s a protein-based vaccine, like those used for Hepatitis B vaccines, so it’s not a new technology.
For those who worry about long term side effects of mRNA vaccine, especially in developing children, or immediate side effects like stroke/heart attacks etc, can go for this. Trials in the US are promising, efficacy more than 90% and so far no adverse/severe side effects reported.

I do not want to get into a debate like whether mRNA vaccine is superior than Novavax or otherwise. I think having another alternative to choose from besides the current P or M or S would be good.

P, M or S, all likely to need boosters.

Schools have procedures in place for the adolescents who have received Covid vaccinations

                  From my Parents Gateway notification:
                  Post-Vaccination Matters
①If students suffer from side effects (fever, chills) in the days following their vaccination and need to be excused from school, parents can write a letter to excuse their child...
②Students who have gone for a vaccination dose will be excused from PE and all physical activities for one week...
③If it has been more than one week since the vaccination dose, students must also inform their teacher immediately if they develop chest pain, shortness of breath on exertion or abnormal heartbeats at any point during the activity

The vaccination centre told us Not to do any strenuous activities for one week after a vaccination dose 🦾

On 23rd June, FDA plans to move quickly to add a warning about rare cases of heart inflammation in adolescents and young adults to fact sheets for the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

Why did CCS mention today that he may make it mandatory for school children to be vaccinated? Because cannot hit quota of 2 out of 3 Singaporeans vaccinated by National Day?

A friend ask me, is CCS Minister of Education or Health? Shouldn’t he focus on kids’ education? 😂
In a school, only P6s are vaccinated, then the unvaccinated P1 to P5 pupils can still go to school?

Just a few weeks ago, MOE said schools will not discriminate those students who have yet to take the vaccination. There will be no bias and schools will not give students/parents pressure!! Now school has yet to reopen and CCS flip Roti Prata!
Not credible to change his mind within so short a time!
