This is in Hualian, next to the sea, hotel like also. But then again, everything is expensive in Sunmoon lake. But the room is really nice.

Most of them don't reply to email, and calling them is the best. They sometimes will give discount. The emmm website is some sort of association for 民宿, and you can get accomodation for the whole Taiwan.[/quote]Many thanks for taking time to list them here. Does these 民宿 operate during Jun hols?

Dear Jennifer, they should be operating, as summer is their major travel time. But it is going to be hot though. Explore the website and they give you plenty of information. 清境农场 seems to be a nice place, but the hotel up there looks pricey. I didn't list here, but we stay in a place just about 30minutes drive away from there, where they have a small zoo, which my kids love very much. This was a ad-hoc booking when we were there，as we were quite bore with sun-moon lake, too much of a tourist place.
