If we use the token more often, then the battery will die sooner?

I would expect so. I believe someone (floppy?) once mentioned that because the token was used a lot, the battery died much quicker than 4 mths? Mine is only used about twice a week as I don't go out much, so I would expect mine to last closer to 6 mths. When it's resting the light only comes on every minute or so, and and if it's not near other tokens, it shouldn't consume much power.

Not true for my family. Same batch but they conked out within about 2 wks from each other...and not only I'm the only one having it all the time on me when I'm out, I'm also the one who is out more often than the rest.

And yes, so it seems that the time sitting around unused still counts.

68 students from 51 schools. These numbers quite meaningless. Give such figures to scare parents?

Why not list out all the primary and secondary schools affected in a chart form, indicating beside each school, whether the student/staff contracted Covid through household members or in school.

Then we can have a clearer picture. There seems to be quite a number of schools affected but if each school only has 1 or 2 student positive case (the 2 could be siblings etc), contracted through same household, then it shows that our schools’ environment is still relatively safe.

Is there any website listing the active Covid clusters?
I am wondering if there are many clusters in Clementi now. I just had two friends who were issued with QOs yesterday, and both had their exposure to a positive Covid case in Clementi.
Hearsay after changing Health Minister, this current one is very aggressive and recently had more than 19K pax put on QOs.

If 2pax on public transport sat near each other for more than 20mins and 1 tested positive for Covid, the other pax would be called up to serve QO.

It is not easy to apply to do QO at home. Easiest just go to hotel.

Anyway, with daily 130+ cases with no sign of slowing down, looks like we will take a long time to bring cases down to near zero (hopefully by end August).

Favorable tone for those in the keep schools open camp.

Reading the parents’ comments on FB, it seems that those who have written excuse letters & kept their kids at home, have been given “absent without valid reason” and they find this unfair.

What is the implication of “absent without valid reason”? And why are parents angry with this? If there’s no real penalty or punishment to be dealt out, then it’s just an issue of words right? If someone edits it to “voluntary absence due to parent letter” or sthg, will that make it easier to swallow?

And someone raised a very valid point: even if kids stay at home and do HBL, vaccinated parent goes out to buy food, shop for groceries, (visit KTV or market), still carries a higher risk (statistically) of infecting the unvaccinated child.
