      Hi Sasawan

Are u using the grassroots route? Need to serve min. 2 years right?

How can I know how many applicants are PV and GRL in phase 2B? How many total number of GBL applicants each year?

Dont think such data is available.

I certainly hope your guess come true!

Yeah floppy I certainly hope! so but 81 out of 97, doesn’t give me much confidence at this point.

I think for this year it should be balloting between 1KM and 2KM.[/quote]You could very well be right.

81 applicants include SC > 1km and PR. If I'm a SC > 1km or PR, I will try to apply on day 1 and inflate the numbers, hoping some SC will be frighten away.

Haha that was an interesting perspective I didn't think before. But it may well be true. Anyway the next update will not be today but will be by 11pm tomorrow (Thursday), so those who have not applied will only have to make do with current numbers, including whether to try for the 16 places left in RGPS

P1 registration is not a poker game and you cant simply call bluff without knowing who you are playing against and how many players are there. When taking this strategy, the greatest risk is once you apply and giving yourself hope, you may be reluctant to withdraw and choose to shoulder on even when the odds are not in your favour.

At the same time, applicants must also be aware that there are always some parents from <1km parents who may prefer to wait till last day before submitting their application. e.g Some may like to access their chance for P2C at NYPS before deciding on RGPS.

Doesn’t benefit them. How do you know next update is Tom? Don’t see it on the website.

From my understanding they don't update on the last days for previous phases.
                Maybe for 2C they do?

I was wondering as well, as I saw in https://sgschooling.com/blog/analysis-for-2020
that they have last year numbers for Day 1 to Day 3 and Final is different from Day 3 so I was wondering how come got Day 3 numbers? So maybe like you say they will update the unofficial numbers on Day 3 and the official and final numbers on maybe next week?

But actually although I will like to if MOE does updates on Day 3 the final numbers but then again without breakdown sometimes the number means nothing as well. Of course for some situation it might but for some might not. I mean say for RGPS, we know there's 97 places available. So if on Day 3, MOE update total number 1) 150, 2) 176, 3) 200. Does it mean much? Maybe if it's 150, I have a bit of feel good factor cos it's less than last year but without knowing the breakdown it doesn't mean anything as in what if all 150 with 1KM? If it's 176 then it's same as last year and if it's 200 more than last year and if it's more than last year I may be more nervous but what if only 80 within 1KM?

So ultimately without breakdown not really meaningful but I get it we will like to have as much info as we can likewise for me.

Taking this year's 97 spaces as an example and then looking at the residential demographics of the area within 1km of the school, you would be able to more or less guesstimate your 2C chances. If you stay within 1km of RGPS then based on the surrounding residential areas, I really don't expect that it will be 97 girls (as last year was at least 77 girls but this year increased spaces by 20 to 97), and even if really exceed 97 girls and become say 110 etc, the chances of balloting success is still relatively good all things considered (of cos better have back up 2CS plan haha).
