What do u think of the chances at MCS for 2CS? Assuming 1-2km also.

I think your friend’s chance should be good for MCS < 2km in Phase 2CS. I think all SC should be safe but hard to be certain for those > 2km.

KCS is really unexpected. Nearly a hundred places and still ballot for SC <1km? Thought that’s something that will only happen in a youngish town and not Toa Payoh (except the Biddadari part… but I never see it as part of Toa Payoh).

<1km includes The Peak@TPY and Toa Payoh Crest where the new Creamier shop is. Plenty of families with kids. Those residents may have thought CHIJ TPY was too risky, or they have boys.

As The Peak isn’t that new anymore, I thought it wouldn’t have much of an effect. The crest side is where the young and new entrants are. I guess I wasn’t paying attention but if someone is living af the crest, the girls have a choice of 2 single gender and 1 coed school within 1km, while the boys only have KCS. Guess the boys are driving the demand.

may need to analyse abit further. vacancy dropped from from 111 to 73 for 2Cs, alot more activated the marymount backup plan to avoid balloting elsewhere in 2C. But even there is a balloting for 1-2km, chances fair good.
