actual question is whether we need to stay in the 1km range or we can venture into the much more avail options in houses if we are allowed to go for the 2km n within. and im pretty sure going out of the 2km range is a definitely no-no for moe also for our kid going to school every morning.

I suggest you write in to MOE to check and get a written answer in black & white before you buy.

Cos if it’s not approved or legal, then you can get into serious trouble when u update the school (and/or other govt records) with your new address.

If I rent a place near the school, can I update my NRIC residential address to the rental address immediately? If not, my PV application will still be under my old address which is more than 1km away from the school. Any advice or direct experience on this? TIA!

Once you have moved into your rental address, you can apply to update your NRIC as you will have the necessary proof that you’re living there legally.

I’m not sure how fast it is under this new online updating system.

If going down to police post is still an option, pick that cos the sticker is given on the spot.

Nowadays, it will take abt 7 worling days to receive it sticker.
