May I know how your children got invited by their school to take part in Science Olympiads?

Eg do all the kids in the top 1 or 2 classes get the invitation? Or only some of the kids? Is it based on their P4 Science overall results do u think?[/quote]
Mine was based on P4 overall Science results, the kids were selected for a short-term Science Olympiad training in school. I think there were about 7 P5 and 7 P6 kids. Out of these, only 5 from each level were selected for RSO but all 14 went for SPSO. Hope that helps.

Any idea when the results will be out? And will it be published on their website or only notified through the school? 😊

For RSO, results out since my gal already got her cert. I can't find any info on RSO anywhere, so i guess results only from school. SPSO was on Tuesday, so don't think it will be out so soon but i'm not sure they will publish. On their website, seems to hint that they will publish the results there.

"Results of the competition will be made known through the respective schools. "

mystique_j: I think all the certs have that phrase "outstanding achievement in RSO etc". My kid also received a medal (similar to sports day ones) and gold/silver/bronze/merit awardees were given option to take part in online science workshop hosted by RI’s Galileo club. Perhaps in pre-Covid times this was done in person at RI.

Zac’s mum: Selection most likely based on P4 overall sci results. The school selected 5 per level for RSO. SPSO - for my kids’ school at least I think a lot of children were sent to SPSO. Her whole class went and I know there were representatives from all the other classes.

When will the results of SPSO 2021 be released?

Anyone hearing any news from the school?

                  Thanks
