Will there be a chat-group created for parents who enrolled to rgps successfully?

You join your own P1 class whatsapp chat group,

only after


1) you have received an official letter from Rgps , informing parents which P1 class your daughter has been assigned to, in the 2022 P1 intake (born 2015). Wait patiently, for your official letter to arrive.


And


2) after the P1 Orientation date.

Due to the bad covid situation, P1 orientation is most likely conducted virtual online,

because

school discouraged all current 2021 (P1 to P6) parents to enter our Rgps school premises compound ,
unless on urgent, critical valid reasons ground,

after you have met up with rest of the remaining 29 parents, coming from the same identical P1 class, as your daughter.


Each P1 class : 30 students (girls)

Right now,
our school Rgps, is focussing on preparing 2021 pionneering batch of P6 students (born 2009) for their maiden-flight PSLE exam, under the new marking scheme (AL), and all related issue. Thus, P1 classes assignment matter, will take a back stage, as the main primary focus now now is on preparing our P6 students for the coming PSLE, as far as Rgps Administration matter is concerned, as PSLE is an important National exam.

As you all know,
when do all the written 2021 PSLE papers end ?
They end, in the 1st week of October?

As such,
you probably get to hear from Rgps about assignment of P1 classes, in November / December.

However, before this take place,
the successful enrolled parents will need to attend P1 Admin day first, where school will give parents some documents to read through and to sign. School will inform parents in due time, when is this P1 Admin day. Right now, unable to advise.

As to whether there is going to be a P1 Orientation date held this year or not,
at this point in time, Rgps replied \"not confirmed yet\".

In the event the covid situation continue to worsen in late November or December, then the P1 Orientation will be cancelled this year, for 2022 P1 intake (born 2015). If this happen, then come beginning next year 2022 January, there will be an induction programme held instead, for the new batch of P1 students coming in. It all depend, on how the covid situation turn out going to be, come Nov / Dec.

parents are Not allowed to enter school premises, during recess.


First day of school -
( Form and Co-form ) Teachers will assist students.


Day 2 onwards -
each P1 student will be assigned a P2 buddy \"jie jie\" during recess, show them how to buy canteen food & get back the correct $ change,

or show them where is our school book shop, in case students need to buy stationery,

or ask their P2 buddy \"jie jie\" any questions that they are excited about.


3) dismissal

The fleet of school buses will leave the school compound first, at about 1.40 pm.

After all school buses have left the premises, then the school gate will be opened, to let the parents drive into the canteen pick up point, pick up & fetch their P1 daughters home.
