I guess we will see some not top schools achieving higher cut off point this year as it is possible a lot of students / parents might put their 2nd choice first to play safe if the final score is near the boundary.

That’s what I expect too. So there will be some degree of “market adjustment”. The current indicative COP (based on T score batch’s choices) will be slightly, or even more than slightly, different from the actual COP.

          Hi all!

Sharing a recording of the PSLE 2020 Listening Comprehension audio recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEna-0IhkU8&t=1574s

It's useful for practice if you have the PSLE 2020 past year paper as you won't have to read out the text to your child. All the best for the soon approaching listening comprehension!

                Some schools Yes,

                but
                not all primary schools

allow their 2021 P6 Prelim papers ( born 2009) to be returned even to their own P6 students, until very very late, very close towards Psle period then return them their marked exam scripts ,

                because

                1) they do not want their own school’s prelim papers’ set info to be leaked out. They are highly sensitive about this, particularly those few Top primary schools. Some schools even alerted their P6 (parents + students) not to share their Prelim exam papers openly to outsiders.

                and

                2) they do not want the commercial vendors to reap a profit $ out of their own school’s proprietory exam papers set through sales, at this point in time.

                In some schools,
they do not even allow to return the marked P6 English Prelim composition scripts to their P6 students .

English component Paper 2, Yes, schools do return.

                But,
English Paper 1 (compo), some schools don’t return at all, while other schools do. It depend on what your own primary school practice is

Hi all i have been reading through this post but has yet to get my question answered .

Prelims is just over and unfortunately my child did not do as well in Science and infact down 2ALs for Science (AL4>AL6) which is quite worrying .

She has always hated Science for the fact that its her worse subject since she cant seems to score on that . Her problems were identified as unable to relate concept to questions , not using keywords and giving half answers . Eg : got head, body but no tail ( if you know what i mean) so she often ended up with only 1/2 mark or 0 even though you know that she knows the answer. Its very very tiring and fustrating . I have highlighted all these issues but she simply cant think out of the box.

                      English AL1
                      Chinese AL 3
                      Maths AL 3
                      Science AL6

Science as you can see is really her stumbling block Its simply too much AL to get and wasted .

I am hoping for PLMGS but the COP is (11 ). And If indeed her PSLE result is 13 should i even try and put PLMGS as 1st choice or i should choose TKGS COP (13 ) as 1st choice ? She is pretty set in PLMGS but trying to still put it as 1st choice is taking a risk that she might even lose her placing in TKGS ?
