It sure felt great to get out of the house on a whim.

Went to taka yesterday. Spent 2 hours. Bought a weighing scale. Son asked me to get snow skin moon cakes for him. So got 大中国. Comtemplating to get 美心 but just can’t part with $65.

Under what circumstances would we sekf test? If I hv symptoms I would see doc instead. If I hv no symptoms, I won’t self test unless I am on LOA (due to ringfencing)?

That would be one case when self-monitoring would be useful - then you will know if you are infected even if you don't show symptoms. Another time it would be useful is if you are going to meet someone vulnerable, like an unvaccinated friend or family member, and you want to be careful in case you have the virus.

For more \"official\" purposes, I don't think self-administered tests are accepted, so you probably have to go somewhere to get the test done.

The only reason for using is for peace of mind if on LOA/QO to self check first. Otherwise I don't see the need to use. I collected free ART for my seniors months ago but still unused. To be honest ARTs are costly and together with the blood monitor, feel like waste money le from the govt. Both are white elephants.

Do the ART kits have an expiry date indicated on the box?

I think I’d prefer to poke my own nostrils than let someone else do it. DH has been to countless swab tests under RRT regime. He said some of them are very rough handlers.
