I remember reading we becoming nation of testing. If only once every new term start, maybe considered lucky liao?

To go endemic with aggressive testing don’t look like same direction but I guess probably with many unknowns now, it is safer to do that to prevent total out of control ?

Primary kids as they say mostly asymptomatic/mild may be a good way to trace back to adults…actually I find secondary ones also high risk de coz many take public transports etc…

Actually hor, maybe for ppl like me, who constantly worry about kids in this endemic living ‘testing’ set up…testing may be ‘good’ in a way though we have to endure some inconveniences.

DS is very prone to nosebleeds. I would have preferred an alternative. But if it must be done it must be done. I will do one on myself in front of him first to demonstrate solidarity with him. The poor younger ones, especially lower primary…I’m pretty sure the parents will have to deal with screams and meltdowns.[/quote]
The tests are less invasive now and don't go as deep (one good thing from the Delta variant - because the viral load is higher near the front). You only need to go 2-3 cm into the nose. I haven't done one myself, but my husband had one last week as he caught a cold (both ART and PCR negative for Covid).

Just read…looks ok. 2.5cm in. Hopefully the kids can do it themselves. Say 7yo can self administered…Got instructions and video sent by school.

The ART kit distributed via the schools is a different brand from the one mailed to home address.

i wonder what brand would the companies be giving to their employees.

The procedure to do ART using different brands of test-kits has some slight differences.
