DS is very prone to nosebleeds. I would have preferred an alternative. But if it must be done it must be done. I will do one on myself in front of him first to demonstrate solidarity with him. The poor younger ones, especially lower primary…I’m pretty sure the parents will have to deal with screams and meltdowns.[/quote]
The tests are less invasive now and don't go as deep (one good thing from the Delta variant - because the viral load is higher near the front). You only need to go 2-3 cm into the nose. I haven't done one myself, but my husband had one last week as he caught a cold (both ART and PCR negative for Covid).

Just read…looks ok. 2.5cm in. Hopefully the kids can do it themselves. Say 7yo can self administered…Got instructions and video sent by school.

The ART kit distributed via the schools is a different brand from the one mailed to home address.

i wonder what brand would the companies be giving to their employees.

The procedure to do ART using different brands of test-kits has some slight differences.

See? It's become so endemic here that our resident(s) is spreading Delta virus to Putien, Fujian, China now! Who dares to welcome us now?
And now everyone's reporting on that Singapore father spreading Delta to Putian residents. 49 Fujian pp have been tested positive. The guy was tested 9 times, served the draconian 14+7 days of quarantine in China and continued to move around the Putian and Quanzhou community until Day 38. He must have been vaccinated in Singapore, so he flared-up much later; only after 38 days from his arrival in Fujian. Amazing...

There are only 6 PSAR brands approved by HSA. I suppose diff CT value cut-off/range for diff brand since they are all from diff distributors?

Chinese experts are open to the possibility that he may not be the source of this outbreak, contrary to speculation, as such a long incubation period for the Delta variant is unlikely. He could have been infected after serving quarantine. They actually follow the science over there.
