We have a Besta all pass 1 since P1. My gal has been using it since then, but for what I know, PH does not allow them to bring in during exam. Her ex-school (P2) allows the kids to bring in during Paper 1, not PH. Maybe higher primary they will allow? I am not sure. Well, I am not impressed with all pass1, it can only search word by HYPY.
Recently i was contemplating getting a digital dictionary. i understand that there are 2 (by Besta All Pass 1 and Creative PX2051) which are approved for use in Chinese exams. anyone got it or used it in exams at PH before?
The CD668S is rather ex, i am eyeing the CD516S which is also not cheap. Still holding back becos of the price. probably it will be more useful to me for my work than to my son. lol -

The hardcopy dict is still the best, more detailed explanation on how to use the zi. At present, I hv at least 2 normal CL dict, 1 CL to EL and 1 EL to CL.

I bought the CD668S over the weekend. Decided against the CD516S as its keys are very small, so not as easy to use although it is better for traveling due to much smaller size. surprisingly my son knows how to use it already. he said one classmate brought it to school before and he tried on it...

The jury is still out on whether it is worth the money. -
I bought a CD616 ($658) on 2005 and at first it is for my own use. But this year, my DD (P3) is using it more frequently and find it very useful for searching chinese words using HYPY (don't know how to write the chinese words esp for chinese comp.). The E-Ch translation and vise versa is also very useful and fast for her to retrieve. I like the audio function. I don't know whether the school will accept this dict for exam. Hope that it does.
