      Hi parents

Newbie here. I am an old boy from ACSP. So I assume my son will be registering 2A1. Just wondering, considering next year is SG50 babies going to primary one, what are the odds that 2A1 will go to balloting. If so, should we move to within 2km just to secure a spot? Any thoughts?
You can assume that he will be registering under 2A2, unless you had joined the alumni association before the cut off date (in which case you’d receive the paperwork/proof to put you in 2A1) - check with them if you’re not certain.

2A1 is safe from balloting. But I recall for Tiger babies there was balloting in 2A2.

Hi all, I heard that a student entering ACS (J) might have less chance of bullying compared to ACS (P). Parents with current children there, any thoughts on this please? My son is entering either of the schools next year. Thank you.
        My son goes to ACSJ
i thank god everyday for giving him the chance to go there
he is a shy boy, but has learned to love the school and his classmates
his teachers have been very nurturing and he really likes both of them
The class teacher even takes the time to make up moral stories and tell the boys at the end of the school day in order to inculcate good values in them (this is his favourite part of the day)

no bullying whatsoever that I can think of, ACSJ is a blessed school

Good that your son enjoys school & learning fr teachers & peers thro play & story telling. I guess the sch library activities alr cut out, owise good avenue for him to learn. Mrs Caillan had also reinforced a lot more values into every sch programme since she took over in my son’s year.

Pray all ACSJ boys grow up well & become fine young man of our Singapore’s future. 🙏🏻

Can I ask if my hubby is from ACSJ (alumni) but we are staying within 1km of ACS Barker and within 1-2Km To ACSJ, do we send our son to ACS barker or ACSJ?

Old boy of ACSJ can only get into ACSJ is it?

What is the school name, printed on your spouse Report card ?

              ACSJ ?
              Not ACS primary, right ?
              So, go back to ACSJ.

Under the combined Phase 2A -

your son cannot jump ship to another school, ACS primary, when his father (your husb) did not even study there in the first case,

              Unless 4 possibilities arise …

              1)

your husb was offered GEP last time many years ago, and at the end of his P3 (ACSJ), he got transferred out of ACSJ into P4 GEP (at ACS primary), then Yes, under this kind of rare situation, your son can choose to enrol in either ACSJ or in ACS primary, because then, your husb had studied in both ACS schools before. Otherwise, No.

              OR

              2)
your husb is a member of the school Advisory Board or Management Committee, in ACS primary school. Then, your son qualify for Phase 2A (ACS primary).

              OR

              3)
your husb is a staff member in ACS primary school.

              OR

              4)
your son has a sibling, who is a former student of ACS primary school before. Then, your son will qualify for Phase 2A (ACS primary), due to his sibling existence.

              Note the word, "former".
              Because
If your son’s older sibling is "currently" a student inside ACS primary, then your son would have already joined under Phase 1 (ACS primary). No need to come to Phase 2.

There is a 5th condition tied to MOE kindergarten, under Phase 2A. But in the context of ACS schools, not applicable here.

If none of the above conditions mentioned are met, then
              under combined Phase 2A,
you can only enrol your son back to ACSJ, since
your husb was an ex student there before.

                Yes.

                Phase 2A: only ACSJ
Phase 2C: ACSP (note: Barker refers to the Secondary School)

Hello! Would like to find out from parents with older kids in ACS schools.

When affiliated students choose ACS for their secondary school journey, are they assigned the same PE houses as in their primary school?

DS is in P6 now and needs to buy larger house PE singlets…just wondering whether the same colour will definitely be usable in secondary school.

DS is in the same house as when he was in Pr Sch.
