      CL/ML/TL Compo picture

Pict 1- Students + teachers in class getting ready for a trip to the zoo

Pict 2- Student B touching student A’s bag while boarding the bus

Pict 3- Student B fighting with student C over a bag of potato chips

Pict 4- Student B swinging a bag around a monkey in the zoo

Pict 5- Student A, B and C trying to get the bag which the monkey stole and hanged on a tree

Pretty hard to link the pictures together

Oh my! That's not a common topic... what're the moral values of this compo? πŸ˜“

              Yes,
last year 2020 4 PSLE subject papers were much easier. And the tentative AL COPs for each Secondary school, from Moe, were based on 2020 PSLE batch (born 2008).

So, when come to choosing your 6 Secondary schools later in Nov after 2021 Psle results are released , can only take 2020 AL COPs as a rough guide, not wholesale, because there will be deviation from this year (2021)

              How to gauge ?

That's why they asked u to attend the zoom seminar seminar this Saturday, 10 am
Despite what you said about papers in 2020 being easier, I believe the T-score COPs for top IP schools in 2020 were actually lower as compared to 2019. I think its about 1 or 2 t-score points. Perhaps overall the entire cohort did not perform well despite easier papers, or easier papers lead to higher average raw scores but lower t-scores?

For this year, no one will be able to make any accurate prediction simply because

              a) The impact of prolonged disruption on students
              b) The impact of AL score system
              c) Change in selection order due to concern of balloting risk
              d) The difficulties of paper
              e) The takeup rate of DSA

Well, I am very sure the COP will be the same as last year. The 4 top schools will still be RI/RGS, HCI/NYGH. They are still the ever-popular dream schools. In fact, they are also the top schools when I was taking PSLE some 35 years ago. Unfortunately, my PSLE was not good enough to get into them, but my children succeeded.

Based on last Friday frequently discussed Maths Psle paper, probably the P6 GEP students plus those very good in Maths Mainstream students, will get AL 1 for Maths.

But overall, out of 40,000+ Psle students this year,
if not many P6xers score AL4, then
AL Cut-off-point for (RI / RGS) might be AL 7, if not AL 6,

                  Because

If students can't achieve AL 1, probably will end up with AL 2 or AL3 for 2021 Maths

Agree it is not easy. Too much is happening in the picture, will be a long essay if choose to write this. I too was asking myself, what is the moral value of the story for this picture compo. I guess ...maybe, not to bring chips to the Zoo ? 🀣🀣🀣 ( Just for laugh)
