BTW, things are getting a bit heated up with highly scientific discussion over t-scores and AL scores. I don’t really follow what is happening, but you should all enjoy the end of this psle along with the children. After all, how often do kids really have a month to really relax?

Yes agree… no matter how much we discuss, we can’t change the results and none of us probably know best until date of release of psle result.

Let’s take a good rest and time to do some packing !

Wish list for MOE is if they can provide the percentage of students per AL band for each school. Then no need to guess or think too much since from there, one can calculate the probability of getting into the school.
Here is a comparison between the different t-score COP range and possible AL equivalents.

For this year, it's very likely that some students with >260 t-score equivalents PSLE results will not qualify for the AL6 COP schools.

          260 - AL6/AL7/AL8/AL9
          265 - AL5/AL6/AL7/AL8
          270 - AL4/AL5/AL6/AL7
          275 - AL4/AL5/AL6
          280 - AL4/AL5/AL6

What this goes to show is that students enrolled into those top IP schools are generally good in all 4 subjects, (nothing below 85) which is why I said AL4 will not be uncommon in IP schools.

That's fine, I'm only looking at the AL8 or 9 COP IP schools 😋

Ah, but you are forgetting this is the first year they are doing this 🙂 Only simulated data. No real data.

In any case, even if the data exist, do you think MOE will release it? No... all schools are good schools... so no need to compare 😂

Lol! Even stimulated data would be good!

Totally agree. I also don’t understand what’s the rationale of comparing AL scores vs T-score. 😆 :rotflmao:

Relax lah. Exams finally over! Yeah to our kids and us!

                      Yes, do relax !

How often can u have this shake leg, one whole month leh ?

                      Come, let’s chip in ideas.

                      For P6 girls,
besides ask them to look at recipe at home, bake some Christmas log cake, since Dec is Xmas, what else can they occupy themselves with, so that Don’t let them be glued to the handphone whole day long, since risky to go out now, with close to 4000 infection ?

                      How about, P6 boys ?
Don’t let them be glued to the Xbox or computer games, occupy them with what, during this 1 whole month ?

But boys also can bake, and girls play Xbox. More of the activities for them to do. Regardless of gender.

Can teach some basic life skills during this time. Cooking, sewing, washing toilets 😂
If have younger siblings, engage them as tutor.

Other than that, I did booked some adventures for mine to do in Sentosa. Klook also has lots of stuff to book. Island hoping, Kayaking, or go Pulau Ubin for a hike or cycle. Just something to let off the steam.
