Am getting confused; for those ART positive and no symptoms, just ART on Day 3 (ie 72 hours) or daily until negative, then taken as ok and no need to do a doctor?

This was the case even before yesterday, for those with no/mild symptoms. Which is why the daily case nos. are no longer any indication of what is happening.

An issue I have with their announcements is that there is no clear description of what constitutes mild/serious or well/unwell. My family is that kind that treat anything other than \"can barely crawl out of bed\" as \"mild\" and \"fairly well\", while others will consider any cough/cold/slight fever as \"serious/unwell\". Somewhere else, \"e.g. high fever, breathlessness\" was given as descriptions of \"unwell\", but how high is high?

Yes, when dds fever go up to 40deg. I also home medicate them. So to some threshold is higher. For myself, headache I use caffeine from coffee instead of pain killer. Flu we just take vit C. Jialat if treat covid like normal illness.

There’s one that bans unvaccinated people from malls is too draconian!

I read some comments online that govt should also take into consideration their mental, emotional and social well being.

Dental clinics, hair salon, pharmacies etc, are nested in malls. Govt is driving the unvaccinated seniors to their early grave. Some of these seniors stay alone in 2 or 3rm flats, coop them up in the house the whole day 迟早去跳楼!

Earlier I suggested to ban seniors from dining in for one month, some disagreed and asked rhetorically whether need to police diabetes drinking sugary drinks or not. Then aren’t these new measures are so much more drastic/draconian?

Actually the unvaccinated ones should be the ones worrying. Logically they are the ones who should avoid crowded places. So why ban the unvaccinated ones entering…? Are they the ones carrying the virus? Vaccinated ones can carry the virus and worse is w/o symptoms.

Agree with this! How are they going to manage? This is very badly thought-through policy. If the unvaccinated are going to be banned, I think it should be worded like \"from all mask-off activities\" - then they can at least shop and run errands. Frankly, I don't like the ban at all - they should advised of the risks, and if they choose to take a risk, it's their life.

The 50s dying is like not 'rare' anymore looks like and that's worrying me. 50s, in Singapore can have that many health conditions mah? Maybe can provide more info on the health issues..

And there is group 19-39 needing O2 and in icu. Very young leh. Though number is very small, again what kind of conditions that can land them there.. and we talking abt 3k cases (excl the supposedly mild Home Recovery group) now.

There will always be a small no. of any age who get seriously ill. No policy is going to aim for no deaths.

It's been said frequently that the underlying chronic conditions that are risk factors are things like diabetes, high BP, high cholesterol, heart issues, low immunity etc. Basically, those who are weak will have a tougher time withstanding any kind of infection.

The MTF said the growth rate of daily positive cases seems slowing down.

I wonder is it really slowing down Or because ART positive no need to take PCR thus daily numbers aren’t growing? May be, a persistently high death rate is the only (delayed) proxy indicator that COVID is still spreading fast and furious in the community.

One day, when we all switch to using ART and only no more PCR, our country will achieve zero case!

I think that's the intention. It's part of the \"endemic\" plan. We don't announce the no. of deaths from any other disease on a daily basis.

I like them. Simpler to understand, fewer acronyms, and more realistic. The only one I think is too harsh is the banning the unvaccinated from malls. That is unreasonable.

No more QO and HRA, now only HRW - gd

Protocols 1 and 2 are clear.
Protocol 3 is unclear to me.

I feel that if infected but w/o symptoms, there is no medical assistance given.
