Be patient. Sinopharm is still riding on some developing countries to do their P3 trials. Meanwhile, just tell your Unvaccinated teenagers you've to cancel their year-end staycation and SG Rediscovers attraction visits. Be cooperative and stay home to attend online tuition for 8 weeks since they cannot enter the malls for holiday workshops.

China, being very secretive always, won't share with you their own Chinese children and teenagers' data. They will just tell you thru state media that both S vaccines are very safe and have no side effects. Always remember and remind yourselves that China has 28-day quarantine and is relatively free of Delta (unless you're like the Putian student who got infected by the escape variant from god-knows-where in Fujian).

It became pretty obvious when PM made a Freudian slip and said we are waiting for data from [I]America[/i] before deciding on vaccinations for 6-12 year olds.

No amount of data from Sinopharm or Sinovac will suffice. MOH will just move the goal posts and ask for [I]additional[/i] data, until the numbers left unvaccinated are quite immaterial.

Nevermind our own data shows that rates of adverse effects from Sinovac administered in Singapore is about half of Pfizer. Teenagers different mah.

For Singapore, the neglect of the spread of virus among our foreign workers resulted in the lockdown last year.....

But past is past, the important thing is how are we facing the present surge of Covid 19 cases situation in Singapore not where is the Covid 19 started.

So far not enough acceptable trial data yet for non-mRNA vaccine for 12-17yo. It may take a very long time before we see such a non-mRNA vaccine for the teens approved here

Since the teens don’t get seriously ill and highly unlikely to occupy a bed in the ICU. I see no harm for this group to take Sinovac/Sinopharm even if it is said to create fewer antibodies.

Most importantly, one portion of the parents out there do not wish their children to be inoculated with mRNA, so by allowing non-mRNA for teens will definitely see the vaccination rate creep up higher for this age group!
