      Hi there,

You may want to try working in a GP clinic for a few months while waiting. Otherwise due to Covid, it is difficult to get attachment now.

Nothing is impossible if we only believe. Don’t give up and always look for alternative if life doesn’t go your way.

Does anyone have tips on being overqualified for medical school? Down below are the list what I think of as it.

                  - Other than sufficing the minimum requirement you must score straight A’s for all subjects to secure a place in med.
                  - During your entrance essay, include achievements in relationship with bio/chem or other subjects. Your essay must be a grade A type.

Anyone want to object? Or provide tips?

                    NUS Medince Chances

Online says ¼ let us prove it…

2000 applicants apply to study for medicine annually
                    1200 gets shortlisted
                    (1200/2000)x100=60%
Those people / students who are afraid of not getting accepted for shortlist round as you cannot appeal after that, you have not 50/50 but 60/40 chance of getting shortlisted. 40% rejected for shrtlist rnd.

Hooray! You had just completed 1/2 the challenge to medicine!

After you had completed your interview. NUS ONLY secures 280 places for this current year.
That means (280/1200)x100=23% which is near equivalent to ¼.

Do not worry if you got rejected this round, you can appeal next round next year via aptitude based admission.
Keep your hopes high, if you secure NTU and NUS both places you would have 46% chance of getting accepted to one of those schools (nearly 50/50).

If you were to appeal, you would have to write a 1000 essay and it must be related to your dedication towards medicine. Tip 1, Prove it.

                      Hello one question.

Is higher mother tongue D7 for O level compulsory for NTU med school or is it a choice? If I am not taking higher mother tongue and I got an S grade for H1/H2 mother tongue, does it still suffice?

                      Thanks.
                      K.
