You can go for iPad Air or iPad Pro but it may be better to wait for the school to release the package first and decide again. Personally, I think iPad is not a laptop replacement and it would have been better if they have kept to the MacBook like it used to be.[/quote]Yes a MacBook would have been more useful for school work. At home, my daughter uses the MacBook more. The iPad is more for bringing to school, likely because it is less heavy than the MacBook.
Thank you for your advice.J.Loke\" post_id=\"2043793\" time=\"1635238791\" user_id=\"194941:

You can get it from the school or buy/use your own if you do not like the specs/package offer through the school. We bought our own iPad & Keyboard. My DD's classmates complained a lot about the keyboard and some end up buying another keyboard instead. You can take your DD to the Apple store to see what she is comfortable with. If she intends to write more using the Apple pencil, you may want to select a screen protector meant for writing.
a) Is the package offered by the school cheaper compared to the Apple store?
b) Is iPad air or iPad pro allowed? Or it must it be iPad only? -

Then they should have standardised with the Macbook Air, which really isn't much bigger or heavier than the iPad.

I think its more a matter of cost. -

The larger screen size for Macbook is definitely a plus. For the iPad, I think note-taking could be easier if you write with the Apple pencil. However, my DD can't get used to writing with the pencil and rather type instead, so the Apple pencil is very much a white elephant now. I think she is mainly using the pencil to doodle for fun

I think is it therapeutic and relaxing for her. -

hello! since masks can cause some discomfort, we are allowed to wear culottes & polo shirt any day of the week (except for hall assembly days where students have to wear uniform). not sure if it will change in future, since it was pinafore & blouse every day except for Wednesdays before covid hit. hope that answers your question!
