Hi parents and students from crescent girls,

My daughter was offered DSA based on her performance art both to crescent girls and ChungCheng Yishun.

My daughter do not know that she was offered by both schools as we have a pact that she got to know it after PSLE exam. I would be glad to have some comments or advice from anyone of you out there about Crescent Girls.

        1) Chung Cheng is affilated to NYJC while no affiliation for Crescent girls. This matters only she choose to continue to JC rather than polytechnic after O level. This is something we are not sure now.

        2) although I stay in Yishun, distance is far
. But this is not a concern for me.

What matter most is that my gal can learn to be a responsible girl who can take charge of her studies in secondary which I see it in both my elder sons.

        3) personally I prefer girls school and express only school, so less BGR and discipline issue.
Anyone can give me more insight of the school. Thank you.
If you don't want your daughter to be distracted in her studies over the next 4 years or be \" disturbed\" by the presence of boys in a co-ed Secondary school environment (CCHY), or in any other co-ed Secondary school in Singapore, then it makes sense to join Crescent Girls Secondary, which on her own is already a good school !

Parenting teenagers nowadays, is challenging ! They are often distracted by so many other things in life. Electronic gadgets addiction is one of them.
As a parent, you have to constantly keep an eye on them, make a conscientious effort to bring them back, ensure that she walk on the proper path footing.

All relationship(s) start from friendship, in the beginning.

If your daughter's behavior is feminine, portray confidence, talk sensibly, is pretty (attractive), or style up her long hair in a feminine, attractive manner, then she stands out as a rose amongst the thorns, in a co-ed school environment. Soon, boys will invite her out for dating. Eg. watch a cinema show together

        or

        go for dinner together

        or

\"study together\" often with the boy making this excuse because interested in the girl, \"Come, I am strong and good in this subject topic / chapter ... I can help you ... \"

If you want your daughter to concentrate in her studies and do well in O-level, get into a good Junior College, remove all these distraction(s) from her. Let her join an all-Girls-school, Crescent Girls Secondary.

Maximum, usually is 4 points discounted. Your daughter can easily offset these 4 points by

        1) doing O-level (Higher Chinese), to gain 2 discounted points

        plus

        2) ensuring that she score 2 points, in her Cca.

With this in mind, no need to join CCHY, just for the sake of affliation into Nanyang Junior College.

CCHY : Chung Cheng High (Yishun)

I’ll choose Crescent girls too. Teenage years less BGR? Crescent also have quite a few famous alumnus.

I can’t find much info on PLD purchase at CGS for 2021 from the website. Is it bought thru the school or parents have to buy the recommended models outside? Can use edusave? I have read a few school websites. Most of them use edusave to buy the PLD thru the schools. Not sure for CGS. Hope to hear from parents/students here. Thanks.

I think they are on different days. Sports/uniformed grps have more days compared to clubs.
