All the 4 cases listed in the cna article had a re-admission to hospital or an admission after a recovery at home. So parents should continue to observe their children even after they recover from the initial bout of Covid.

You're still on MINDSVILLE after so many months? Thought I'd already said MINDSVILLE's a classic microcosm of a 90% fully vaccinated community sans universal masks and SMMs.

That is the kind of unbridled spike you'd expect if all masks were removed in our actual larger community*. And if I may add that at the point of the outbreak, there were about 80% UNvaccinated visitors/counsellors/volunteers/physiotherapists/doctors/family from the larger community regularly entering the otherwise safe sanctuary of MINDSVILLE.

There's helluva diff if you don't don masks. See the red spike.

*NB: slmkhoo's clarified that residents in there don't don masks (there's wading pool, dorms/shower rooms for adults with special needs). Also, some caregivers/minders might not always don masks cos maybe special needs residents can't recognise their masked faces. Recall a case of a young resident throwing tantrums during a swab test by some unfamiliar, intimidating PPE-clad swabbers.
Seriously. The boat has already long sailed that our vaccines are not effective against transmission of the Delta strain. Our entire regime is now premised on our vaccines offering very little protection against transmission and infection. The focus has already shifted to vaccination offering protection against severity of the illness when infected.

You are still hawking alternative interpretations of that set of data after all these months?

The writing was on the wall then. Our experts should have seen it for what it was, instead of relying on sophistry to try to explain why what was on the wall was not writing, even after Bukit Merah View. They forgot Occam's razor

Like I said then, it is not 20/20 hindsight when others have pointed it out to you back then but you chose to ignore it.

My goodness. It is sad. I'm just wondering, will a baby get infected inside the womb of a mother stricken with COVID? And if the mother gets vaccinated, will the baby be \"vaccinated\" too? Hmm...
If I recall my Biology lessons correctly, yes the antibodies will be passed from mother to baby via the umbilical cord/blood stream.

If not, then breastfeeding after baby is born will pass along the antibodies too.

The 2-month old is recovering well after out of ICU I hope.[/quote]
It’s so sad when very young children catches covid as they’ll nvr live normally w/I health issues following the rest of their lives. It’s also devastating for parents to see their child suffering it & I’m sure the health carerers gets a brunt of it somehow. Just pray they’ll all be given heavenly mercy & recover well with proper medical treatment. 🙏🏻

If we follow HC’s reasoning, that those old folks who died of Covid would have otherwise die of common cold or pneumonia, then the boy who kena Kawasaki-like symptoms due to covid MIS-C, would have otherwise caught Kawasaki through other means as every year, there are 150-200 kids down with Kawasaki (inflammation of lungs/heart/brain etc. due to viral infection) ???

So what do you think of this reasoning?

Thanks zac’s_mum and slmkhoo. It’s good to know that antibodies can be passed on to the baby that way.

I was disappointed that there seemed no review on the measures since we are half way to 21 Nov
