      Hi

From the official website of the ACS Old Boys' Association

      http://www.acsoba.net/

The registration system favors parent alumni who are members of the ACSOBA not later than 30 Jun 2009. Please ensure this is the case.
      .

      Hi Doraemo,

Thank you very much for this post! πŸ˜‰

I have a 2.5 yo son who should be going to ACSJ following his father's footpath. Did not know that the old boy must join OBA for 2 years in order to be in top priority. Got a shock after reading this and quickly took action to apply for OBA. Your weblink greatly helped too!

Although my DS is still young but I can already feel that the heat is ON!

This is a great website for helping sotong mum like me take quick action.

      Cheers! :celebrate:

        Hi Parents,

Can share what is the difference/strength between these schools. I hope to enroll my child for P1 in 2011. Being the lowest priority group - Phase 2C, guess I have to be more hardworking to nail down a school to do parent volunteer.

        1. Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road)
        2. Anglo-Chinese School (Junior)
        3. Anglo-Chinese School (Primary)

        Thanks
Anyway what is the different between
        Anglo- Chinese School(Junior) and Anglo-Chinese School(Primary)

                  Dear Parents.

I have noticed that vacancy left for phase 2B in ACSP was usually relatively low (26 in 2009, and 18 in 2008) and there was never a balloting being conducted. Thus, called up the school to clarify and was told that if the application received for the day matches the number of vacancy left, they will advise parents to head straight down to ACSJ for registration. Thus, I would like to know if there is any parents here who has any idea/experience on how to be able to get into the first few in the β€˜queue’?

                  God Bless.

it’s not about the position in the queue but rather the vacancy vs registration ratio. If ACSP is full and everyone rushes over to ACSJ, then ACSJ may need balloting. So might as well remain in ACSP for balloting if the ratio is favourable. Ya?

that being said, I think ACSP is usually more popular coz it had more classes way back in the 70s & 80s when it was located in Coleman St (10?) vs ACSJ in Barker Rd (4?) => more old boys. 😎
