Do u guys know, roughly when do CCA commitments end for the P6s? Is it after Term 2?
Yes, I don't think they attend from Term 3 onwards. Some may effectively end earlier in Term 2 ahead of the SA1.
Thanks. I do hope they at least get to do some sort of leadership duties next year before stepping down.

When they “took over” from the current P6s in April after the farewell pizza party this year, effectively no CCA meetings at all due to SMMs, and they are simply having one short “hi and bye” Zoom session to close off 2021.
If I had to guess, I think the within school CCAs are likely (or at least more likely than not) to be up and running next year. Of course pending news in 2H-Nov, take-up, and daily situation on the ground next year. Not sure on SYF, NSG, etc.

Hopefully school life can return to normal for everyone next year. So many things torpedoed by COVID over the last two years. Luckily, this group (2022 P6) should be clear by the time they hit secondary school.

Also it is likely that the common last topics will NOT be excluded for this 2022 PSLE batch unlike the previous two batches (2020 and 2021):

Standard Mathematics:
Primary 6 content under Speed, Volume, Pie Charts, Solid Figures and Nets

Foundation Mathematics:
Primary 6 content under Volume, Geometry, Pie Charts.

Standard and Foundation Science:
Interactions within the Environment

Will be nice that kiddos can resume physical/on site CCA next year. Looks like the plan is for secondary, JC or older. No mention on primary level. Maybe till vaccination program roll out for them. But wondering what is the plan for our 11 years old kids as vaccine dosage might be different for 11 and 12 years old. Ours will be in-between if vaccination program will roll out in Dec.

I agree with you. 2022 PSLE will most likely have full content loading.
Very likley for kids aged 5 to 11 to be vaccinated in first quarter 2022 as well.

PSLE Math and Science seems to follow a trend - Math paper will have more challenging questions in one year and Science in the next. It seems this year Maths paper was challenging and it was the same 2 years ago in 2019.
2020 Science paper was highlighted as being challenging but not the Maths.
Do you think 2022 Science exam paper will be the challenging? Anyone with opnions on this.

We should refrain from making such predictions because SEAB doesn't set paper using a trend matrix. And what I find amusing is why parents are so quick to say that 2021 Math paper is tough without even seeing the paper. If you ask me, I think your best prediction will be as good as flipping a coin and nothing is going to change how students or parents should prepare for 2022.

I just realized that Speed is a very major (and extremely tricky) topic for Standard Math. :nailbite:

Yes... but if your child has good visualization skills, it should be straight forward.

Hi, wish to know how is speed a major topic for standard math? I only knew it’s tough didn’t see it carrying heavy weight (in terms of marks) in pre-covid papers. Thanks
