I wonder what the situation will be like in January when the O level results are released. Would schools be able to have the usual school hall ceremony? Will parents be allowed to attend? Just have to wait and see…

LOL. I remember during my time, PSLE results were just like any other school days... you just assemble and wait for your turn to be called and then go get the results. No parents and all and no big deal. They just introduced SAP then and so we were separated into those that want to do SAP in other schools and those that don't. I wanted to stay with St Andrew's, so I went with the rest of my schoolmates. That's it.

O-levels was a bit more emotional... I think people came to get their results; there were some people crying and others celebrating. Don't remember seeing any parents around, then, but who knows. 🙂

That’s so true. Haha. I rem collecting my results with friends only. Then bring home and show parents.
But we as parents still like to be as involved as we can. Haha.. :rahrah: :boogie:

Total: six O-level classes (St Nick)

During pre-covid days, up to year 2019 -

Every year, on GCE \"O\" level results released Announcement day,

              1) parents sat on chairs quietly, at the back of the school hall, wait for their Sec 4 daughters' individual Form Teachers, to pass them their released O-level results.

              2)

students entered the school hall wearing their school uniform, sat down on the floor nervously, according to their Sec 4 classes, wait for Principal on stage to report

              a) average L1R5 score for their cohort,

              b) their Top students' performance, in their batch.

After collected their own results, some students screamed with joy, while some may cry, quickly go home.

Parents sitting at the back, will be on the look out for the facial expression of their own daughters, the moment when their daughters collect results from their Form Teachers, personally. Their daughters' facial expression and reaction, there and then on the spot, speak a thousand words ! Because their Sec 4 Form Teacher, will show each class pupil what is their own L1R5 score, when each queued up to collect own results.

Sadly, post covid (2020 & beyond) - this scenario, disappeared 😢

If you have the info, can you share if one parent can be present when Sec 4 are collecting their results last year, with SMM in place? Especially for St Nicks if anyone is aware? Thanks.

Look out for the reports in the news (SPH, Mediacorp).

So sorry for the difficult to see image, but we have come up with the latest school affiliation list from Primary School to Secondary School, all the way to Junior College. This data has been collected from MOE, and contains all the school affiliations in the database.

We have also put in place the approximated AL scores that the PSLE student must reach in order to get into the school, for both affiliated and non-affiliated students.

At the bottom of the list are secondary schools which are affiliated with some junior colleges, but have no affiliation with any primary school. So you can ignore these if you are only interested in your PSLE kid, unless you are really thinking far ahead.

Nanyang Girls' High School has the toughest requirements as AL scores are between 4 and 8, and it only has the IP streams to offer.
