Most of our leaders major in Humanity. So itโs not true top brains opt for science heavy learning path.
(Since triple science is typically for the top xx%?)
If you are going for JC route, Humanity subject is a compulsory one in L1R5. Every else being equal, it is wiser to take 2 humanity subjects instead of only 1, so you have to luxury to choose the better O level grade between the 2, instead of no choice of 1 subject -

2007 batch (sec3 2022) seems to be the smartest out of the 4 batches.
School had a tough Math and Science paper for their EOY exams, and raised requirement for triple science to >75 for both Math and Science.
Subject allocation released already, many who wanted triple science ended up in double science.
Looks like this batch will do very well in O Levels. -
These 2007 born piggies batch, are extremely competitive !
In the 2019 PSLE, they are already very competitive ! -

For Triple Science, the requirement has always been >75.
For those who opted for Triple Science but ended up in Double Science, it might not be due to the >75 requirement. It could be due to their Sec 2 Humanities results, too, for instance. -
