      Hi

Need advice. I understand students need to take HCL. What's the passing criteria for Y1-4? Is the HCL syllabus the same as those thought in IP?
Whether HCL taught in (OP or IP) schools,

      1) The HCL textbooks used are identical, the same.

      2) the O-level format (HCL) & components, also identical.

2007 batch (sec3 2022) seems to be the smartest out of the 4 batches.

School had a tough Math and Science paper for their EOY exams, and raised requirement for triple science to >75 for both Math and Science.

Subject allocation released already, many who wanted triple science ended up in double science.

Looks like this batch will do very well in O Levels.
        1)

        So,
CCHM opened how many Triple Pure Science classes next year, 2022 Sec 3 (born 2007)?

        open 1 or 2 classes ?

        2)

How about those 2021 Sec 2 students who have scored either
A1 (Maths) and A2 (Science) or vice versa,

        A2 (Maths) and A1 (Science) ?

If this group of students were to appeal for Triple Pure Sciences, will they be successful in their appeal ?

        After all,
A2 (70 marks & above) also not easy to achieve, esp. when you mentioned that CCHM school had set tough year-end EOY 2021 Sec 2 exam papers.

There were 5 triple science classes for Sec 3 2021.

Unless the student like science, else, is 3 science a wise choice ?

          - Humanity is compulsory in L1R5. wiser to have 1 more backup humanity subject , then 1 more science.
          - don’t need 3 science to qualify for medicine in U
          - most of our cabinet ministers are humanity major

Is it not possible to take triple sciences + 2 Humanities? Along with the usual 2 maths and 2 languages? Just curious, thanks

think CCHM school don't allow Total 9 subject combination, ie.
(Triple Pure Sciences + Double Humanities).

think CCHM school impose maximum 8 subject combination, either

              - Triple Pure Sciences go with Single Humanities

              OR

              - Double Pure Sciences go with Double Humanities.

              (feel free to correct me)

                For 2021 Sec 3, Total,
how many classes are there ?

                Total - 5 classes = the rest,
                are all

( Double Pure Science + Double Humanities) classes ?

                2)
for those end of Sec 2 students taking Sec 3 Double Pure Sciences, how do u decide whether to discard / drop Sec 3 ( Bio or Physics ) ?

By looking at the strength of your own Sec 2 Science subject performance + your future career path consideration ?

How do u know that u are not dropping the wrong Science subject (at Sec 3 Bio vs. Physics) ?

                  2021:
Correction: Total 10 Sec 3 classes, not 9
Correction: 4 triple science classes, not 5
                  5 double humanity classes
1 class with no extra subject .

Next year 2022: I heard from my son, 9 Sec 3 classes, with 3 triple science classes

                    Hi,

May I know the walking distance and time taken from Dakota MRT station and any walkway shelter ?

School allow to drive in the main gate and drop off?

I suppose it depend how fast you walk. It’s around 10-15 min type of distance.

Just outside the MRT station you can get shelter from the HDB blocks but rest of the journey (85% or so) no shelter.

The previous principle strongly discourage parent driving child to school, but let take public transport. His reasoning is “if now don’t start to let your child learn to care/manage for themselves, then when?”

Attended this morning YouTube channel introduction by the school principal and decided to Reece with daughter by MRT and walking to the school rear gate. The traveling time from Sengkang to the school is about 52 minutes

Wondering will she be able to cope with the distance for the next 4 years .

Noticed the compound area is run down
