      Yes phase 1.

So KCPS needs to ballot in 2C n 2CS?

      What about the transfer?

      Thanks for your reply
Sorry i dont understand why want to give up guaranteed Phase 1 seat. Too far away from home? Or prefer KCPPS cos got affiliated secondary?

I would choose Phase 1, then apply for transfer after phase 3 closes. Possibly have to wait on waiting list until child is primary 2 or 3.

It is still “better” than child enrolled in FTPPS and awaiting transfer until primary 2 or 3…(erm, unless your Phase 1 school is FTPPS, in which case i’d try KCPPS at phase 2C!)

Yes. KCPPS got affiliated secondary. Our Phase 1 is a much coveted school but no affiliation for male.

We realised the importance of affiliation to secondary school as a safety net in case the child doesn't have DSA and didn't perform well enough.

To get Phase 1 in 2022, the sibling is at most p6 in 2022.
          Just saying.

no. I think sibling must still be in the school in 2023.

In this kind of situation, I’d register the boy at that highly coveted Phase 1 school, and then waitlist at KCPPS once phase 2CS is over (probably dont need to wait till phase 3).

Places most likely open up in Primary 3 when the class sizes get bigger. Just keep your son on waitlist and keep checking with KCPPS.

Definitely can get a transfer before his P5 and he will get the affiliation safety net. Meantime just let him learn under the rigorous academic standards + SAP envt.

KCPS has no Phase 2C(S) for the last 10 years (in fact, since we started tracking in 2006). It has always required balloting in Phase 2C, in the range of 130 odd percent.

As for transfers, it really depends on the school that you want to transfer to. Some schools will look at how well your child performs, so if your child does well, chances are greater. But then, you should ask yourself - if your child is doing well in the school, why would you want to change the school?

Hi. I am not as well versed in the registration process as some of the others here. But reading between the lines, isn't one other option to try and transfer the remaining (middle?) child out at the start of 2022 and then register the younger one via Phase 1 at the new school? Of course, if the remaining one is P6 transfers may be harder or undesirable (I think MOE transfer stops at P5 and one probably doesn't want any big disruptions in P6 year). Moreover, depending on the gender of the remaining child doing so may not be attractive.

A primary 6-er in 2022, will receive the phase 1 form in 2022, allowing the younger sibling to join in 2023, when the primary 6-er would have left the school by then.

But in any case, it is not important, you prob fit the condition either way.

Hi KSP, I bought a property and the agent was mentioning TOP in 2023/2024. We only got to know the vacant possession date in S&P is in mid-2025.

According to the MOE website: The vacant or delivery possession date of the new property you are moving into must be within 2 years of your child’s entry into P1.

If based on the date in S&P, we are ineligible to use the new property address for the P1 registration. Can we appeal on the address? When will be the best time to do so? Is the registration must be finalized by the end of June 2023?

                        Please advise… Thank you!
