Thanks ZacMum, so it’s similar to RGS primary to Secondary, same name but not affiliated for P1 registration. And what about if he was posted to ACS Barker (Secondary), would his kid in the future be able to enter p1 registration under ACS J or ACS P?
Also no, cos alumni of ACS Barker Road are also not eligible for phase 2A priority to the primary schools. It is not a “full school” despite being co-located with ACSP.

I understand both ACSJ and ACSP boys can apply to ACSI via an internal AMR cut off. My son just got accepted into ACSI after PSLE, but we are not from affiliated ACSJ or ACSP. So in the future, as an alumni, will his son be able to apply for ACSJ, ACSP, or both primary schools?
        These 4 schools,
bear the same identical name, in both the primary and Secondary section.

        But,
they are NOT affliated in any way, at all :-

        1) Raffles Girls' (primary and Secondary)

        2) Anderson (primary and Secondary

        3) Cedar (primary and Secondary)

        4) ACS Junior, ACS primary
        and
        ACS Barker Secondary.

        So,
even though your son may graduate from O-level (ACS Barker Secondary) one day,
        unfortunately,
your future grandson cannot be enrolled into neither (ACS primary nor ACS Junior) in future, because Not applicable under Phase 2A.

        However, in contrast,
if your son were to enrol into Catholic High (Secondary), then Yes, your future grandson will qualify to enrol into Catholic High (primary) one day in future, under Phase 2A.

        Why ?

        Because

Catholic High is a \"Full\" school status.
        But not ACS Barker Secondary.

        For boys,
Catholic High is a Full school.

        For girls,
only 3 Full schools exist in Singapore, out of Total more than over 100+ existing primary schools.

        ie.

(MGS + SCGS + St Nick) primary

        =======================

        In other words,
if you want your future grandson to join under Phase 2A, can consider Transfering your son over, to Catholic High.

To be considered under Alumni Phase2A, does he have to study all 6 years in the primary school? What if p1-3 is in ACSJ and after GEP, transferred to CathHigh for P4-6? Will he considered alumni of ACSJ or CHS, or both? (And so his kid will apply p1 to which school?)

            And so :

Primary: ACSJ and ACSP can get affiliation to
Secondary: ACS Barker and ACSI for PSLE AMR AL13.

            BUT

a purely ACS Barker (Secondary) and ACSI (Secondary) cannot have Phase2A advantage for future P1 posting. Is this correct?

Besides, CHS, MGS, SCGS, SNGS, how about Maris Stella ? Is Maris Stella also a full school ?

No need all 6 years. Im not sure the minimum period (how many months or must have year-end report book as evidence)…but yes in the scenario P1-3 in one primary school & then P4-6 in another primary school, the student will qualify for alumni priority for BOTH primary schools (but can only apply to either one - a decision must be made during P1 registration).

Slight correction: ACSJ and ACSP can get affiliation to ACSI Express stream with AMR 13.

ACSJ and ACSP can get affiliation to ACS Barker with AMR 22 for Express stream, AMR 24 for NA stream, and AMR 28 for NT stream.

(NB: ACS Barker Principal has mentioned that even though Express AMR is technically 22, potentially will be cut off at 21. So those affiliates with PSLE score 21-22 (option band of Express/NA) - are advised to choose NA, otherwise may be cut off & barred entry due to 80% affiliate quota being exceeded.)

If p1-p3 acsj, p4-p6 cat high, sec 1 - sec 4 maris stella high (to answer your other question), the child has alumini status in acsj, cat high pri, and maris stella pri.

Yes, I think as long as you were admitted to a school at any time, you are considered 'alumni' of that school.
