It's the Nan Hua school culture. Same for the primary school. Prob cos they find plaits give a more prim and proper look, as befitting of a Chinese school.

Can I check what are the chances of getting into Nan Hua High School if my child has AL11 and with no HCL? We intend to put Nan Hua as the 1st choice.

Unfortunately, it's anyone's guess. Still, the good news is your child has a reasonable shot. NHHS COP last year was AL11 (no HCL); i.e. your child's score matches last year's COP.

FWIW, NHHS indicative COP was AL11(D). Nan Chiau High's indicative AL COP was AL11(M) but the actual was AL12(D). Things can move around a bit but it is worth a shot. Good luck!

I think you already know but just want to highlight that Nan Hua is a SAP school. So ideally your child should be interested in Chinese.

Also between Crescent Girls, Nan Hua and Nan Chiau, which has better academic results?
