My DH was having serious coughing during work last night and he rushed down to a 24 hours clinic for ART test and confirmed positive. Then the doctor asked me to go down to do an ART during midnight and my result is also a positive one.

But I only had a mild cough on last Wednesday and Thursday with a negative ART results by that time and most symptoms had already disappeared since last Friday and I thought I was well fit.

As I and my DH are working in high risk industries and we expect this day will come but not expect so fast. Now we have to Quarantine at home for 72 hours and have to do another ART on coming Tuesday and if the result is negative then we can go out.

My DH is taking lot of medicine as he is a diabetes patient and for me ....no medication is needed as my coughing was went away. My DH said we have undergone a 4th jab before the CNY and we are immuned. Since both of us cannot go out and we have to order our food via food panda for these three days.[/quote]
Oh no! Thank goodness you are both ok. Well, at least you are done with your CNY lunch out with friends. And you can do your online gaming with your friends like nothing happened šŸ˜„

As more people get COVID and recover quickly from it, hopefully that will reduce the once deadly disease into a mere footnote. There is little to thank God these days, but the end of deadly COVID definitely deserves rejoicing!

Not sure about the duration after infection before another jab is necessary.
For evidence, if you went to a GP, there should be some proof? But for those who didn't see a GP but just did home recovery, I think there is no proof of past infection.

My husband tested positive 2 weeks ago, and just did home recovery without seeing a GP, so no proof except a photo of the test result! I guess that won't count for anything. He had his booster in Nov. My daughters and I all tested negative throughout, so we obviously didn't catch it from him.
          Luckily everything is fine now.

Very mild - he was up and about all through, and felt fine after about 3-4 days.

For those who tested ART positive at home and self-isolate, do they inform MOH and therefore added to the daily cases statistics? Without further testing, how does MOH know the virus strain for daily reporting/tracking?

If they are working, they have to inform their employers their ART results and their employers will submit the number of infected employee to MOM everday and I believe MOM will forward the data to MOH.

For working persons and students, I'm sure the stats will be included as they have to report to employer and teachers.

It's those non-working persons with no/mild symptoms who now follow Protocol 2 that would be missed out in the daily count, unless they choose to see a GP after self-testing positive on ART at home. If they don't see a GP, no one will know as they are not required to inform MOH. They will just self-isolate for 72h and if still positive, they will keep testing till Day 7 (for fully vaccinated) and Day 14 (for partially- or unvaccinated).

The VTL testing regimes have already changed for those infected overseas & recovered overseas. There's a possibility that overseas travellers who are ART-tested positive 7 days prior to departing to Singapore may still be carrying the virus. They can now just board the plane without a 48h PDT in the foreign country and are now exempt from all OAT, ARTs and SHN from 23 Jan 23:55h.
