MLR:
... He then asked me why is it that when his grandad died, grandma didn't go get another from the store??? I told him to go asked his mom (my sis)...
Grandma cannot buy another one from the Singapore store because all the gong gongs have migrated to their holiday home in JB due to cheaper care costs. -
My son was really happy last wkend becos he got a Ben10 Omnitrix. His joy was very obvious and I asked him why?
me: Are you very happy with the omnitrix?
ds1: YES!
me: why?
ds1: SO THAT I CAN TURN INTO HEATBLAST WHEN YOU CANE ME, THEN THE CANE WILL BURN AWAY AND I CAN ALSO TURN INTO FOURARMS TO CATCH YOU!
me:
..... but if you behave yourself and not be naughty, I won't have to cane you right? -
When the time comes (caning time),

My kids kept terrapins when they were young. When one of the terrapins died, I just took it out of the tank and threw into small kitchen dustbin without much ceremony. My daughter was pretty sad ...
She: Why did you throw it into the dustbin, shouldnt we bury it?
Me (without much thoughts): It's dead anyway. No difference between burying and throwing into dustbin.
She (turning to my old mom): Oh no, grandma, how are you going to fit into the dustbin when you die?
Me (caught by surprise):  :faint:
Mom (very angry): Choy choy :x -

While I was busy in the kitchen one fine day, DD2, then 3 yrs old came running in with a question...
DD2: Why does a balloon burst? (She witnessed her sister's balloon burst in front of her. Close proximity so great impact).
Me: (Busy washing dishes and not giving much thought)..The balloon cannot hold so much air so bursts lor.
DD2: Oh I know. Same like when I gulp in too much water and the mouth cannot hold so water spit out!
Me:  -
sunflower:
Kekeke... don't you love it when they start abstracting your theories into their own practical observations?...DD2: Oh I know. Same like when I gulp in too much water and the mouth cannot hold so water spit out!
Me:
I have another:
3yo DD: Daddy, can I have a candy NOW?
Me: No. You have to eat dinner first otherwise you spoil your appetite.
3yo DD:
The next day, she caught me throwing a couple of her M&Ms in my mouth.
3yo DD:
Daddy, have you taken YOUR dinner YET?
-
try this ...
my girls always look foward to dh coming home and are eager to say a word of welcome. so when they see papa get out of the car at the driveway, they always say 'why come home?' read: welcome home!
