Absolutely agree to distribute masks, ART kits or hand sanitizers by headcount. MIL receives note than her family needs when FIL was around, whilst one of my SIL hv a big household of 7 and is always short. Going by headcount (NRIC/WP) wld be more equitable. Granted there will be families who will not need what is given & can do are them
It's hard for this distribution to be done equitably. In my household of 4, my 2 girls get test kits from their workplaces, but my husband and I don't. Families who have more people who don't get any from workplaces have to spend more to buy test kits, and probably test less frequently as a result. Perhaps the distribution should be by NRIC instead of address? -
Mask distribution is good to have, ART kits distribution will be much appreciated.

Not cheap these kits. Till last year I seemed to have so many. They ran out pretty fast. To be more econimical, I bought a 25 test kit pack :moneyflies: which was promptly taken by DD.
Wish the distribution was per NRIC, would have served my large family better :gloomy: -

Indeed my goodness...it was so sudden. Thank you for your concern. They are all vaccinated so their symptoms were mild. The only thing is after 7 days, they are still Covid positive....so despite mild symptoms, the virus does not leave the system easily. One was hospitalised but discharged after 7 days despite Covid positive as the symptoms were considered mild...
My goodness. Hope your family members are ok. Yes... I'm currently holding on to my 3 ART kits. More would be appreciated. Just checked NTUC. Each kit costs $5.90!
The ART kit cost I last knew were:

It is worthy to note the first part of the article which is applicable to everyone...THAT, getting Covid-19 has more implications than what we can imagine. It does not stop at a sore throat and lung infection. So I hope people would not wish to get Covid-19 just for the immunity sake.
Having said this about immunity, I have a question in my mind about Delta variant and Omicron. Most people are getting the Omicron now, which is why other than vaccination, the variant itself also invokes much milder symptoms like cough and sore throat only, hardly get to the lungs if you read the reason from this article. So my question is if one has caught the Omicron Covid-19, do they have the immunity for Delta Covid-19 which is a more severe form of Covid-19? :? Anyone has an answer? :scratchhead:
I read that Denmark though having one of the highest rate of infection of Covid-19 in the world has now removed all measures since Feb 1 because the symptoms have been mild.... Are we ready for that yet? Is delta variant dead already?

Thank you for the answer. Good to know delta is diminishing. However, I think it is good to remember the source of Omicron as I can see we are pretty carried away by the mild symptoms it is giving.

Actually the discomfort is the runway is not long enough(2 years?) for us to know everything about Covid-19 and its complete risks. Over here, our leaders also talked about herd immunity but in the context of getting a high vaccination rate, not going about maskless to get everyone infected for the natural immunity.
