I don't know which centre has good online teaching for Chinese..would love to try. If anyone has any recommendation pls pm me..thank you in advance.
Dd still says physical lesson when I asked her again yesterday. Now it is like after every lessons, everything normal, feel like a blessing.
Nowadays,
for a number of tuition centre that are located inside shopping centre premises, students need to be vaccinated first, before they are allowed to enter the building itself, to attend tuition classes face-to-face.
Otherwise,
if students are not vaccinated, they cannot even enter the building premises, so can only attend tuition online, but not face-to-face physical premises. -

Get her 2nd dose fast....if I didn't take the 3 Pfizer jabs, I might have end up in hospital for the infection of Covid 19.

DS had a 4-week gap between 1st and 2nd dose, cos it just happened that no earlier slot. In hindsight, just nice 2nd dose before CNY visiting, also just nice after 2-week no strenuous exercise period over, today UG CCA commences, can do footdrills.

I think if child is going to be exposed to higher-risk places/events like large group tuition/CCA, competitions/performances like sports/SYF etc, better to get the 2nd dose done quickly, safer lah. -

I agree with this. If you (and she) don't want her to be kept away from what other kids are doing, or facing additional risks because of less protection from vaccination, then it's best to just take the vaccinations offered. So many thousands have had it, and my opinion is that it is the lesser of 2 evils. Kids suffer a lot developmentally and emotionally by being more isolated, especially when they can see that others aren't, even if it isn't so evident.

Come to think of it… maybe the latest omicron strain is just as deadly as the earlier ones… it’s just that we are now more protected against covid because of the shots we took… food for thought.

Omicron is less severe but ‘not mild’
“We have increasing information that Omicron is less severe than Delta, but it is still a dangerous virus,” says the World Health Organization’s Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, in a recent video explaining the impact of the variant.

For those unaware....positive covid after 7 days can go to work according to MOH if no symptoms.

I believe this is the case. All the more reason for people to get vaccinated. The alternative is for more people to get severely sick and probably die - that was what happened when pandemics occurred in the old days before vaccination. There is really no other alternative - if we all hide at home for much longer, the world economy will collapse, and more will die anyway.

Is this spreading more amongst teenagers or am I hearing too much of these in recent days? Seems like every week i hear new cases amongst my girls acquaintances from sch …the sch also issued guidance on VR absence from WAs today.
