Distance would matter for Phase 2B in case there is a ballotin situation. For Raffles Girls', however, the only time people needed to ballot in Phase 2B was in 2011, for those staying outside of 2km. So I guess it's just a formality for you to report where you stay, just in case.

Even with the reduction of 20 places in Phase 2A, it is very unlikely this would impact Phase 2B. You should be safe no matter where you live in Singapore for Phase 2B

Thanks for your analysis. How about the change in allocation ratio of the remaining seats after 2A from 50:50 P2B:P2C become 1/3:2/3 for P2B:P2C. Will that affect your forecast? a bit worried about this change though

Hmm... that's interesting. I've not really thought about it before. I'll run some tests on the data and we shall see, but I don't think it will affect RGS much.

I did some quick calculation as in the above. Barring any mistake on my part, it appears that from 2013 onwards, you should be quite safe in Phase 2B from balloting.

Congrats first for being selected for the interview. Based on what a small group of us ks parents 😆gathered, the interviews took place from 28 Feb to 4 March. During the 10 -15mins interview, the interviewers (panel consisting of the school VP and 2 school faculty members), some of us did asked about the process. RGPS will inform us of the outcome of the interview by the end of march or latest by early April via email. So keep a look out for their reply. Best of luck!

Only after

1)

your daughter has registered successfully into Rgps (via whichever Phase, u have registered her under).

Because

there are parents who will be balloting their daughters under Phase 2C. If they unlucky get balloted out, failed to enter Rgps, case closed.


And


2)

after the school (Rgps) have informed you in late November month 2022, which 2023 P1 class (kids born in 2016) the school has assigned your daughter into. By then, u have a P1 class awaiting, then only do u join the parents' chat group, by P1 class, over there.
