Not sure if it is the same across all IP schools though, my girl is taking
I’m sorry if this has been asked before. But I would like to check what are the subjects that the lower secondary students are taking? Is this the same across all IP schools?
Also, how many hours a week do they have PE, Art, Music and lab work.
Thank you.
- English
- English literature
- Math
- Science
- History
- Geography
- Mother tongue
- Inquiry & Advocacy
In a week, they have 2h PE, 2h Art & Music, and 3h lab work.
Hope this helps. All the very best for your girl. -
bbcxd,
Thank you for sharing the information! -
Hi
For year 3s, what would be the usual median for sciences and maths? All around 3.6 or 4? How about for the languages?
Much thanks. School has announced removing the median from this year, so hope to get some benchmark from previous batches if possible! -

I see...median is quite high. I have heard the recent Maths PPA were quite hard. Without the median, I guess parents can only hope that things are ok.

Now that things are opening up, tution should also be increasing in volume. While waiting for a suitable math tutor to reply, maybe your child can start by looking into the 10-years-series. I do that for every course since my A-Levels. You see the question first, and if you cannot answer the question, then you look for the specific study material to read and understand. Then you try answering the question again and look for other similar questions to answer.

In a sense, it is finding the answer to give you a reason to read your school books, instead of just reading your books from the first to the last page. It is much more effective as a learning strategy. -
