Thanks for the sharing, sky and zac's mum.

Yeah, the 旁白 (narration) will point out the theme of the video and the 3 main question types will evolve around it, namely:
        - 录像内容 Question relating to video content (i.e. regarding what happened in the video)
        - 练习个人经验 Question involving personal life/experience regarding theme of the video
        - 提出看法/建议 Question asking for opinion/suggestion regarding theme of the video

Another extra type of question is https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=81235&p=1929137#p1929137.

Example of how these types of questions can turn out (theme for this example is regarding resilience/dealing with set backs):
        https://i.imgur.com/qu93XJX.jpg\">

Thus, I encourage students to pre-empt the questions that may be asked during the preparation time (based on the 3 question types) so that they can get ready some relevant pointers to include in their answers.

Since we are on the topic of oral, here's some 变调 rules to take note. 😉

Most students know about the \"third tone\" tone change (小鸟,小狗,打扰 etc.) but some are still unsure over the tone changes for \"一\" and \"不\".

Basically, if \"一\" and \"不\" comes before a character that is 4th tone, then they change tone and are read as 2nd tone (e.g. 一个,一块; 不错,不必).

Hi newbieks, if I'm not mistaken, only passing rate for Mother Tongue is published:
                https://data.gov.sg/dataset/percentage-of-gce-o-level-students-who-passed-mother-tongue-language?view_id=67a722dc-7a84-4ab1-87f6-c4469bb9aa53&resource_id=ba5669ab-8e60-4d0c-b23a-8186b31c99d2

Never seen such official data relating to HCL/HMT (https://data.gov.sg/dataset?q=Higher+Mother+Tongue).

...The marks for 表达 is not completely independent/()regardless of the story content but the focus is on the structure of story & paragraphing (i.e. won't be penalized again for plot/storyline)

After reading most of the posts on learning Chinese Language, I found that Chen Lao Shi has given lot of information on the requirements and the answering technique on how to get good scores on Exam. Thank you Chen Lao Shi. 谢谢。

Besides learning Chinese to sit for the exam, are kids really love the language? Maybe I just share some practices in my DH family on learning Chinese Language. My FIL could not understand English and we had to speak Mandarin to him.

Because of his age, his eyes couldn’t read newspapers, my two nephews had to read out some of the local the news from Lianhe Zaobao to my FIL every morning. During dinner time at 0630pm, my FIL switched on TV for the news on Channel 8 and due to his deaf ears, the volume was high and all family members could hear the news from Channel 8. Finally all my nephews had no problem in oral, tingxie, etc. even no tuition was given to them.

LNW, your sharing reminded me of this video (https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1882776788407295) I shared with my students previously, esp. when discussing about the learning of MT as a language.

I commented about how we can see some grandparents learning/speaking in their \"limited\" English so as to communicate with their grandchildren - wouldn't it be nice if it's the young ones who take the initiative instead? Deviating slightly away from the topic, it's also a little saddening that many kids have lost the opportunities to learn dialect from the elderlies at home, because the main/only language they converse in seem to be English. When I was covering the phrase 方言, some students don't even know their dialect group...
