I am a hokkien and my husband is hainanese. May I ask if my son will be eligible under phrase 2b if I join and volunteer with the huay Kuan? Anyone has the same experience?

You need to


1) first, find out how many minimum number of hours of volunteering work expected to put into SHHK

And

2) when is the dateline due ?

Do u have sufficient amount of time to clock in the expected number of volunteering hours, by the dateline due ?



3) you need to find sponsors, to support u to join SHHK

How to find sponsors ?

To find sponsors,
call up SHHK, find out when is the next major up-coming event organised by SHHK is. On that day itself when u attend this event, many people will be around. You can get to know them.


4) if one of the spouse is a Hokkien, will do. No need both (husband & wife) to be Hokkien.

Eg.
one spouse is Hokkien while the other is Teochew / Hakka / Cantonese / Hainanese / Hokkien / non-Chinese
