      Hi

Has anyone sent their kids to any of the 3 local international schools as returning overseas Singaporeans? Could you please share your experience?
      Thank you.

Having checked with parent chatgroups, I do know that the 3 local international schools charge about $30,000 for one academic year

Most expensive would be the Australian international school singapore. They charge more than $40,000 for one academic year.

And I vaguely recall that these fees are payable in advance…every half-yearly?

                  Hi,

My son is currently in PSLE. We are Singapore Citizens. He is currently not doing well academically. I want to move him to International School in Secondary. I understand that we require MOE approval for this purpose. Is it possible to get approval? Any parents who have moved their kids to International school in Secondary and can share the experience.

Sorry I dont have personal experience, but I suggest you can start finding out more directly from the 3 local-international schools.

I was surprised to find out that they accept entry via DSA, even before PSLE results come out. Best u enquire now as interviews etc are probably already ongoing. To satisfy MOE, they just need to verify upon PSLE results release that the score is AL20 (or better).

The 3 International schools in SG namely ACSI, SJII and HCII are considered cheap compared to overseas internationals like UWC and AIS etc. Often due to limited places slots are choped way in advance and advance non-refundable payment is made…

I don't think approval is required for the 3 \"local\" international schools - ACS Int'l, SJI Int'l and HC Int'l. For other international schools, I'm not sure what the position is now, but I believe the schools also have a cap on the no. of Singaporeans they can accept.
