Have a read thru this article: https://www.photoreview.com.au/tips/outputting/printing-photos-with-a-laser-printer/

For all the hassle, u may be better off just bringing the thumb drive or SD card (wherever u have the soft copy) down to Foto Hub or similar printing service. They sell frames and albums too.

Yes, saw this article. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for me to get paper to print at home! I've been printing photos on my inkjet for years, and didn't realise that changing to a laser printer would make this so much harder.

Uh... the cost of a laser printer comes mainly from the toner it uses. Did you buy a color laser? Which model did you buy? I think the toner cartridges will be pretty expensive and I don't recall seeing anything like inkjet printers with their cheap ink cartridges.

Yes, we bought a colour printer and toner is expensive! We bought a HP M283fdw - mainly because we need better functionality and speed compared with our old inkjet. But I didn't realise that it's so hard to find photo paper for laser printing! It probably wouldn't have made us decide differently even if I'd known as I don't print photos often. But it's still a bit of a nuisance.

It seems the decision on the purchase of laser printer is correct but only it is hard to find photo paper for the laser printer. Since you don't print photos often, then why not you print them at Photo Hub or similar printing service as suggested by Zac's Mum. You may ask the staff in Photo Hub where they purchase their photo paper from.

Since it’s HP, u can probably find the correct type of photo paper for your model directly for sale at their website.

Looked, but there was no paper listed. I've sent them a question, but thought asking here might be faster!

You want to print your photos? To save the hassle, maybe go to the photo shop eg Foto Express to get them done will be faster?

In the end, we just (literally just a while ago!) printed them on our old inkjet as it's still around. And I finally got the photos in the frames! Better late than never.
