Seeing the poll above, it seems like not as many parents are interested in getting priority in P1 registration? For those who voted Yes, would you move houses to be closer to your child’s primary school?

if you are a GRL, your CM would have emailed you every late April since you joined as a grassroot volunteer.
The info would be in that email.

you can see all the schools in your constituency PLUS the schools in other constituencies.



If you are not a GRL, then you can ask someone who is a GRL for that info.

sorry for tagging along, do you know whether under registration of Phase 2B, when we log in P1-IS form, do we see just the schools we are eligible to or all schools available?

If I’m alumni of certain school with priority 2A, and I own property “Far”, while my spouse owns property “Near” (located within 1km) - can we use property “Near” to register for our child and still enjoy the priority 2A benefit?

Yes, but...

Owner-occupier tax rates is WAY lower than non-owner-occupier residential tax rates for residential properties.

Yes my relative just rented a 30month period condo near the choice school and rented out her own condo, net net zero cost outlay. She moved to a baojiak school in phase 2c<1km.

If I volunteer for 2 years in grassroots in a GRC Bishan-Toa Payoh (Toa Payoh East), because I live there, but want to apply for a pri school in GRC Bishan-Toa Payoh (Thomson), will they issue me a letter for Phase 2B in Thomson constituency? I am renting a house in Thomson only in 2024. I can’t volunteer in Thomson now, as it’s 4km from my current house in Toa Payoh East.

You might get more results if you ask your question https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=420&start=3210#p2069134. They are quite helpful there. I think the new rule is that the school must be within 2km of where you are staying.
