Haven't heard about 屈原 for so long. Only noticed that the ba chang's these days are 1/2 the size of what they used to be

In addition to culture and roots, here is a reason* to study CL. Also interesting how the original MOELC languages have swapped place with the most common MT over time. Of course, unless you have been living under a rock you are probably aware of this, but seeing it again was a good reminder of how things change (from when we were students).

*Fortune Global 500, measured by revenue (debatable whether this is the best measuring stick but the numbers/ranking are what they are).

              Dated 31 May 2022:

Hi, 十年树木百年树人, teachers (like chen laoshi) & curriculum planners have indeed put in tremendous efforts. There is a (P5) 中医药文化班, which greatly piqued my kid's interests in the different 穴位。Initially we had thought that it was just about making 驱蚊香囊。As we progress, we realise that the lessons are in fact carefully scripted, such that vocabulary is kept simple, important concepts are repeated, & at the same time teachers did not forget to frame it all in our local context, with quizzes built meaningfully. It was amazing as we explored along how 华佗/ 曹操 stories in the 中医药文化班 connect with the 杨修 passage in 核心课文。Then there is also 绘本制作!

Decided to offer 1-to-1 Chinese oral exam practice this June school holiday after some parent enquiries (having first conducted such sessions 2 years ago during CB period).

                    To book, visit https://www.picktime.com/jun2022oral 😉

During the mock tests that I conducted with the various kids, 多音字 (such as 看门, 乐器) was one of the \"pitfall\".

One time saver is to get this book:

For parents who have time to coach/revise with your child, you can simply refer to this list (thanks to the https://sapgrp.com/product/yoobook-e-%E5%B0%8F%E5%AD%A6%E5%BF%85%E8%AF%BB-%E5%A4%9A%E9%9F%B3%E5%AD%97-%E5%BA%94%E7%94%A8%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C-yoobook-e-a-practical-handbook-of-multi-tone-words-for-primary-levels/ 😉 😞
