And anyway, I paid how much for the washing machine?
I could not find any robot vacuumers at HN West Mall or even Courts JP. Where can I find them? -
I saw one @ Harvey Norman Millenia.
That’s one hi-tech piece machine! -
sashimi:
If sashimi gets the iRobot, he pays since he wants it. Plus, it saves him from doing the actual vacuuming himself. That's right.

On the other hand, the washing machine should be paid by sashimi since I am the washerwoman.
buds, maybe it's at Millenia since that branch is so big. -
Thanks, did you notice the price?
To be frank, I’m not buying this first and foremost to "make my life easier".
I’m buying this cos I’m sick and tired of dust! And I’m very very sick and tired of my pyromaniac neighbours and all the fire-worshippers in my estate, who burn incense paper like every other day besides 1st and 15th of the lunar month. No offense intended (I’m not really religious) but it’s too much when they burn in the common corridors.
It is ineffective to vacuum once a week and I’m too tired to do it more often. It’s also very frustrating to vacuum and mop one day and by 24 hours it’s dusty again.
Plus DWasherwoman hangs clothes to dry overnight at the windows, which I understand, but it also allows winds to cover my living room with a layer of dust overnight. All in all, it’s very frustrating, dust.
I don’t intend for the robot to completely replace my vacuuming duties - I will still vacuum+mop every Sunday like I do now. However, right now I’m prefectly quite willing to splurge on a robot to vacuum twice weekly on weekdays, so that I do a 3rd on Sunday. Just want to know if I can get it at a good price… thanks for reading my rant! -
Eh, I cant help but notice a slight friction here. Since I am the TS, I feel responsible to calm you folks down. :hugs:

Well, I have the same thoughts as you. Sashimi. I know what you are saying. It's not to make life easier but it has become necessary to clean more often! My part time maid cleans only during weekend but I have a dog which shed quite frequently. I also have 2 kids who arent exactly tidy and helpful. So, I really need another 1-2 vacuum sessions during weekdays.
I called up iRobot and got some info.
1) You can purchase them at their store, Best Denki (Vivo), Courts (Toa Payoh, Tampines, Bt Timah)
2) Model 530 was selling at $728 during the recent IT Show. I didnt ask for current price
3) Model 560 was selling at $918 during the show and now selling at $988.
4) All prices are fixed with no GST.
5) 1 yr warranty by local distributor.
At $900+, I am not so convinced if I should buy. Maybe I will train my kids to do some vacuuming now.

Thank you! Sorry if I sound a bit "excited" there!
Thanks for the prices, really apprecaite your call. I guess the price is still "like that". But I’m still seriously considering it.
Now I guess what i’d like to know is how much will maintenance and replacement parts cost… -
I’m more keen in the Scooba instead. as the scooba does sweeping and mopping?
I’m planning to order from USA website, anyone keen to join? hee. -
From the irobot website, they keep saying that the Scooba will \"pick up dirt\", but avoids using the word \"vacuum\"- so I think it's a bit of give and take.

-
hmm, I think scooba sort of roughly do sweeping to pickup moderate big dusts and then mop rather than vacuum???
