valvestate:Can't help but respond....i think you're kidding.....no, deluding yourself as to where you are heading with this relationship.12:01...
PRC didn't dropped me any messages asking me out for lunch so I was a bit relieved but I would honestly say that I was waiting for her.
12:02pm..
Walked past my desk, stopped and she asked hurriedly \"you want to go out for lunch or you'll just take it later?\".... split second decision... should I or not................................................................. I saw her nice sweet eyes... I was weak.
Some other guys were at the lobby and I asked them where they are goin', and they said \"Carl's... \" I was thinking that it would be a good excuse for them to be with us but I don't feel like eating burgers especially in a very heavy food in Carl's Jr. I asked her, \"you like to eat burgers...?\" She was like \"... no... you?\" I was honest to say that I also didn't like to go there so we parted ways with the other 2 guys. We were about to go up to Food Court but I was thinking that we always go there so I offered Yoshinoya instead in which she much preferred. When I was about to pay, she said \"Don't worry about it, it's on me\" I hesitated since it's not our culture that a woman will pay for our meal but I thought, \"I paid for our previous meals so...\" I just joked around \"We should have went to more expensive restaurant, not this fast food.\" She just smiled \"yeah....\" The sweetness of her smile's killing me so I'm trying not to look at her too much. I'm starting to feel more 'comfy' to her in the sense that I can be just a friend to her.
We started talking, she was a fast eater, a bit turn off for me but maybe that's just the way she is. She didn't order any drinks since she said that \"Miso soup is enough\" Odd for me, maybe it's a Chinese culture in eating that I don't get. I had Sprite. Anyhow, it's a pretty relax moment... we started talking about how she is on handling our cases in office then the topic about relationships opened. How she only had a BF for like 6 months back in China in a long distance relationship that they just talk everyday but don't meet too much so they had to end it.. that was 4 years ago. She asked about my wife how I met her and I told her that it was similar to her that we were in a long distance relationship but were dating for several years. I think she was ok with this conversation and then we came into discussion about marriage that she prefers to be alone (single). I told her that she's just alone because the \"circumstance of some guy approaching you is zero\" but she said that there's some China architect guy is trying to win her for a while now but she doesn't like him. She said that she doesn't see the point of getting married at an early age, she's 26. At this point of our conversation with our relationship, I guess I'm beginning to know her more. I'm actually becoming to be more of an adviser at this time telling her to actually 'look for you goal in life instead of just saving money with no clear resolution what you want'.
I'm actually much better now that she's opening up more about herself. I still admit that whenever she smile or when I look at her, there's still a bit of physical attraction. I still feel though that there's something more about her, she mentioned as well that she's actually \"Childish\" but she's composed when we speak most of the time... perhaps due to boss / subordinate relationship but today was a bit different.
How do you women digest what happened today?

Oh ya, got confused with the available seats and applicants
Yup - MGS down by 7, not 10. I was one of those balloting for DD. It was 39 balloting for 35 seats. Expect to have more this year because of MGS Pri's stellar PSLE performance, number of new condos in the area and the spill over effect from PHPPS. -

RE: Methodist Girls' School (Primary)
onenah:
It will come from the church, every year, around May/June, your church will inform those who wish to register their child in an affiliated school to submit their requests, your church will then prepare the recommendation letter and inform you when you can collect it. This is more or less the proceess, it may vary a little from church to church.kikocd:
oh my, that means I have to be a member of any methodist church + get a recommendationg letter + move to 1km of the school...
Hello kikocd, do you know who this recommendation should come from in order to be recognised? -

Not really sure exactly why I am feeling sad, guess it's a little of everything; that she's growing up, that she's leaving Pat's, that she's leaving some classmates who have been with her since Baby Haven days....agree... why sadness?
tht she is growing up so fast?
for me, he will say his parts and sing at home but never with the music, props and costumes and so he didn't really do it with much gusto. also, i didn't think he'd be so at ease with so many people in the audience. it's surprising for me. i was a timid girl when i was his age. very reserved on stage. but he was so at home.
was also surprised to see him acting in the sunshine station/ okto. always thought he's so \"wooden\". -

Yes and it was a feeling of pride, joy and sadness seeing her perform. I got previews regularly at home as she would act out her part and some of the others as well

Couldn't find the \"Like\" button...this is the closest I could find :goodpost:
:thankyou:
Did your child just have his/ her concert too?
It's all the more touching for me, so I felt I had to share, cos my son is actually rather quiet and reserved. So to see him acting and singing so confidently on stage in 2 musicals, is really something we did not expect, and a side of him we have never seen before.
It's really credit due to his teachers. -

Couldn't find the \"Like\" button...this is the closest I could find :goodpost:Our son just had his graduation ceremony and concert, and we were so proud of the kids.
It is a major effort, with the teachers pitching in to do everything from rehearsing with the kids, recording the songs in the studio, to painting the props themselves!
The Chinese musical Mulan and the English musical Aladdin were also witty and original, with the script changed to suit the kids and the timing, with interesting twists like having soundtracks from other musicals and even TV soap drama weaved in.
Every kid was given an important role. My son was not Aladdin or Mulan's love, ie not a lead role, but he was given opportunities to sing some solo parts and the acting was very well done/ choreographed. We thoroughly enjoyed the show.
The graduation march was moving too. The presentation of the ring... My son treasures his ring a lot! It was touching to see all the kids, so happy, so grown, so confident, so articulate.
Back home, we took out the stuff in the graduation pack. We enjoyed the pictures in the calendar. We had no idea they took so many shots of the kids. my son had one where he was playing with colourful balloons (an interesting story on the balloons was given in Pat's speech at the concert), and another shot where he was reading a book, and another one with his friends in the playground. The one with all of them leaping and throwing their scrolls up was my fav. It was lovely to see all of them so joyous and exuberant in their jumps and laughter.
There was also a friendship scrapbook where my son and his friends drew pics and wrote things about themselves for each other. It is something like an autograph book, with their addresses and contact nos too. I believe my son will miss his friends a lot but they will certainly keep in touch for a long time to come!
Then there is the audio CD where all the recorded songs with my son and his friends' sweet voices are, and the framed grad pic, and cert, and a gift consisting of a backpack and an IQ game.
I am eagerly waiting for the DVD now. I am sure my son and his siblings will watch it over and over again!
