Me Time!
-
Recently I saw a big dog got barked by another big dog…dashing towards the poor dog (looks docile) with an elderly owner. I could see how desperate the elderly owner was…screaming (at low voice) at the barking dog owner to quickly get hold of his dog…after that the elderly kept calming down his dog…I don’t know how to love a dog but could feel for them then.

thank goodness I'm normal :rotflmao:
You're not alone....although it's the dad here.
with the kid or kids at home, I just have no peace.
if I am alone at home and feeling hungry, I just search the cupboard or fridge to heat up.
with these 2 at home especially my daughter, she is fussy. -

I'm quite happy to have the kids out of the house, more for their sake than mine, because I think it's good for young people to learn and experience more outside. I don't find that having kids in the house affects my \"me time\" - I just do what I want to do, whether or not they are at home. I don't (and didn't, once they were in their late-teens) go out of my way to feed them or cater to them. I do cook lunch sometimes, but if I want something simple myself and they don't want the same, they are free to cook or go out.
the dynamics in the household is always changing...either one is serving NS while the other was working in preschool (to have a feel of what she wants).
1st July one is at home after ORD while the other will be starting lessons. there goes ME time until August when both are off to school. yours truly here must be one kind of a mother who wants to shove the kids out of the house. -

It is nothing wrong, mothers also need to take a break and we should have our own time.

As they get older, they should learn to get around by public transport. Then you won't need to send and fetch as much. Unless you are like some parents I see who won't let your kids grow up and insist that they must be sent and fetched up till JC (or older!). Some kids will still be able to learn to be independent despite that kind of treatment, but some will be \"stunted\" in their growth.

Yea I know it is not very good…they always find coming home on their own is always an interesting thing to do…esp approaching school holiday after exam…asked for several times already. I told them I will fetch them while I can still do it. On times that I couldn’t make it then I will let dd1 take public transport. The younger one not that independent in a way so she has not tried coming home on her own yet.
