For the benefit of students who are looking for such information for 2023 RI DSA trial exam (very limited info on previous years’ thread).
This morning at the RI academic selection exercise. Observation may be useful for future aspirants, indicative number of how many candidates for each academic subject (which may or may not be proportional to avail CO slots).
Number of Counters during morning registration
- English =1
- Malay = 1
- Math = 5
- Science = 2
According to DS, Math - occupied half of the hall ; Science - abt more than quarter ; English & Malay - the rest. Malay paper has the smallest group of students, abt 20-30 only.
DS sat for English paper, the questions are very interesting, required a lot of writing, not the usual school English exam paper.
We are glad that we did not choose the math domain altho his Math has been constantly >95, but he is not trained and doesn’t have impressive MO platinum / gold awards. We anticipated that the math domain will be very competitive.
RI Track and field is also having 2nd round of trial on the 8 of July evening. The boys are shortlisted from the first trial. DS is attending the session. Hope he can get in RI by either one domain. -

If i am not mistakan, RI does not have DSA for Chinese domain.
How about DSA in, by Chinese ?
