      When do u think,

balloting for Phase 2A (St Nick) will arise,
      for SCs
staying (between 1 to 2 km),
      instead of >2km ?

      That day will come,
If the number of seats being "set aside" (non-touchable) for each of Phase (2B and 2C),

      were to increase,
Eg. rise from "20" to "30",
if this were to happen one day in future, should MOE rules for phase (2B and 2C) were to change, one fine day. Nothing stay permanently, forever.

I am just asking a question 😀 when I called late last year and early this year . They never mentioned and ask me to call back now.

Called back and one of the staff told me that they no longer accept. Thus wanted to check with the folks here. That’s all.

I still saw some P1 2022 parents doing their 20 hours earlier this year though (successful 2B applicants need to serve additional 20hrs)…

The PV scheme is still around for admission to P1 in 2022 as well as 2023. https://chijstnicholasgirls.moe.edu.sg/qql/slot/u569/Primary/Primary%20Info%20hub/Forms/Parent%20Volunteer%20application%20Form%20%282021-2022%29%20-%20P1%20in%202023.pdf for this year's application exercise (P1 in 2023) can still be viewed online.

I don't think the parents are trying to gain the PV hours after gaining entry to P1, unless the school has made some special dispensation for PV due COVID. My view is that you could be looking at PV for this year admission exercise. As per the application form:

To be eligible for Phase 2B registration, parent volunteers must complete at least 40 hours of volunteer service before the Primary One Registration Exercise.

The application for PV for admission to P1 in 2023 closed on 30 Dec 2020. I don't think SNGS offer it in 2021 and this year for admission to P1 in 2024 and 2025 respectively. This year's PV for Phase 2B could very well be the last batch.

Given that they didn't have a PV scheme for 2021 (for admission in 2024), it's a good bet that they won't be having it for 2022 (for admission in 2025). Unless you are going to embrace Catholicism, you are probably better off looking elsewhere. The other nearby school that still accepts PV is Anderson Primary School.

                  Hi all,

Would like to find out more about student care at IJ village. Any feedback from parents who have sent their gers there? Also, do they take in only students from sngs or other schools as well? Would appreciate any information. Thank you!

                    Hi

Any recommendation for student care centre near the school other then IJ Village?

Any advice from parents on how to prepare our kids for P1? What do they usually cover during orientation?

                    Thanks in advance.

For IJ Village (student care centre), there are 2 group to join. You can choose.

                      1) specific group, for only St Nick girls

                      Or

                      2) specific group for other primary school students, studying in Ang mo kio area

suggest that u give a call to IJ (village) to find out more, if u are really interested
